Good for familiesPosted Aug 26, 2015
Booked at short notice. Very good front desk ensured we were met and shuttled from Airport to Andratx very smoothly. Good range of facilities-kids made friends pool friends very quickly. Acute shortage of pool side sun beds led to the inevitable towel wars but hey, this is what happens when you have maximum occupancy.. Breakfast buffet was average, lunch and dinner OK.

Lovely hotel in a lovely placePosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Although the hotel is not small, the way the rooms are divided between half a dozen three-storey blocks makes it seem quite intimate
Cons: Access to the carpark is a very tight turn through a narrow concrete gate, sometimes made more nerve-racking by cars parked in the street outside
We were a party of six adults with different tastes and priorities but we all found everything we wanted at Mon Port. The food and drink were excellent, especially at breakfast and dinner. The pool and fitness facilities were superb: despite the large number of guests here in August, nothing seemed overcrowded. Thanks to fantastically efficient air-conditioning, the rooms were always comfortable. We had read that there would be extra charges for using WiFi and the safe in the rooms, but this turned out no longer to be the case which was a very nice surprise. Equally important was the fact that the hotel was within walking distance of the charming waterfront of Port Andratx, while other centres such as Palma and the coves along the northern coast were easily accessible with a hire-car.

The Mon Port Hotel Good Family HotelPosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: The breakfast and the attentive staff.
Cons: I think the hotel needs to consider making their evening menu more extensive and as good as the ones in near by Port d'Andratx
Location: Port d'Andratx is lovely part of Majorca, its far enough away from the more popular areas but close enough to Palma to make a journey there worthwhile
The Mon Port Hotel is great hotel with good facilities especially for families. There are three good sized swimming pools and plenty of space to relax. The majority of visitors are EU nationals with families which makes a good mix of clientele. The breakfast was very good with a wide choice of continental and cooked foods with a dedicated omelette station where a member of staff will cook to order your favourite style of omelette. We did not eat in the hotel as reports suggested the food was limited in style and a little over priced considering the many excellent restaurant near by. The rooms were clean and serviced daily, the beds were large and the toilet and shower rooms are spacious. Each room has a balcony and we were fortunate to benefit with a view across to the port area of Port d'Andratx. The only minus with the rooms was the television facilities, the english stations are limited and depending on weather were a little intermittent, however it must be said you do not go to this type of hotel to stay in and watch telly!!. The staff were very good, attentive and there to help. A special mention for the pool attendant, Alian, who kept all the guests happy, swapping towels when required and keeping the kids entertained. I think everyone at the resort was his friend by the end of their stay.

Location: Walk down to local Port D'Andrax for lots of restaurants and bars. No beach, you have to take a 10 minute taxi ride ,
Visited for 4 days, lovely hotel and surroundings. Cannot fault anything. Highly recommend

Great for a relaxing getawayPosted Apr 30, 2015
Pros: only a nice 15 min walk away from the town center. Great prices for food and drinks at the bar
Cons: The Mattresses are a little hard and the walls between the rooms very thin
We stayed at the Hotel for 8 Nights in a standard double room. Everything was very clean and the staff was really nice. Prices at the bar also great for a four star Hotel. We also enjoyed the Spa several times. Really relaxing.

Enjoyable stayPosted Apr 27, 2015 on Hotels
We were quite impressed by this hotel. It was reasonably close to amenities but away from the hustle and bustle. However we did find the beds rather hard - we had to use the quilts underneath us to make them more comfortable. Also they don't turn on the Air conditioning until later in the year. We found the room quite stuffy at night, but were reluctant to leave the huge patio door open at night as we were on the ground floor. The Spa was nice, although a few things did not work. The service was generally good. The breakfast was excellent, but the dinner time meals were pricey and nothing special. The outdoor pool looked nice but wasn't heated, so it was freezing cold at this time of year. We did brave it a couple of times, but not for long. Although we liked the hotel, if we returned to Mallorca we'd stay nearer to Palma as the bus took 90 minutes to get in to Palma, and our airport transfer took over 2 hours (despite being told 1hr 5 minutes when booking the transfer). Obviously if you intend to hire a car, it's less of an issue as it's only about 30 minutes drive.

Frühling auf MallorcaPosted Apr 13, 2015 on Hotels
