Wonderful quiet hotel in the old townPosted May 25, 2017
Pros: The architect and designers have really thought about guest quiet and comfort. The bed was large and very comfortable with lots of plugs available.
Cons: Breakfast needs a way to keep the warm things hotter, especially coffee. A veriety of jams would be nice, mushrooms, spinach for the eggs.
Location: The location is perfect--everything is wihtin walking distance-shopping, great restaurants, the train station.
This hotel is impressive in its attention to detail and responsiveness to client issues. For example, the rooms have double doors and very thick broadloom--with the result that regardless of what is going on outside or in other parts of the hotel, the bedroom is really quiet and restful. Given other experiences I have had in Malmo, this feature sold me right away! Some more supposedly "hip" places have removed their carpets, left tiny little clothes spaces in their rooms and are so noisy that anyone who wants to sleep is out of luck ( e.g Scandic Triangeln). This place is classy, quiet . . The wardrobe is large with plenty of hangers for men and women's attire, for a week long business trip. The staff are very attentive and responsive. I had trouble sleeping the first night because of the lights from an adjacent hotel-- provided an eye mask and also found dark fabric to hang over the curtains to shut out the light. It was perfect. Breakfast is hearty and while the food was adequate and the coffee strong like the Swedes like it, the breakfast menu could have had more choices ( eg types of jam) etc. and a better system to keep things warmer. Other than this minor issue, my stay there was really terrific.
Will be great once remodeling is completePosted Apr 26, 2017 on Hotels
Good hotel in good location and once black out blinds are fitted it will be great. Hotel undergoing renovation. I wasn't able to sleep well as the rooms look into a central courtyard with lights on all noight. Curtains are very thin allowing the light in and I can sleep with the lights on. Hotel has already responded to advise that black out blinds will be fitted soon. If this is a problem for you, check before booking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Rooms were standard european size, but very nicely done.

Yes, this is a find.Posted Aug 21, 2016
Great location close to Lilla Torg, but quiet. Beautiful spacious room and nice soaking tub. The breakfast buffet is like being invited to someone's home. Plenty of choices to prepare you for all attractions, shopping and even more restaurants near by. Definitely recommend and we hope to stay here again.

Great location with parking available (however not self parking). Rooms were old and dated, not in a nice way. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a smaller selection but enjoyable. Very close to all the restaurants and train station.
