Not so secure . . .Posted Oct 4, 2015
The good news is this was one of the nicest Red Roofs I've ever stayed in. The staff was pleasant, the common areas were clean and new and our room was the same. The not so good news is that when we returned to our room at the end of the day, the door to our room was ajar. The manager thought is was the HVAC contractor, who was doing routine maintenance. Regardless of who left it unlocked, my expectation is that if hotel staff or their contractors enter a guest room, it is management's responsibility to make sure the room is secure after the work is done. Fortunately, nothing went missing. One more reason not to leave anything of value in a hotel room, any hotel room!

Location: Hotel was good for what we wanted, not too many restaurants around, but it was just for 1 night.
Everything was great at the hotel except the towels in the room looked very grey and dirty.

The hotel was fine for a Red Roof. But the room had an odor that was somewhat musty or like old smoke smell - there was just a distinct odor that was off putting in the room.

Passing through on a motorcycle trip. Best Redroof I've stayed at. Updated and clean, very comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff. Not much to do in town but ate at a very nice restaurant called Donavens which was only a $6 cab fare away.

Nice place to stayPosted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: The kids enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel.
We stay here when visiting family in Malone. I can't see any person or family actually vacationing in this section of the world, it's a bit dull. This hotel is clean, upgraded, and reasonably priced.

Just passing thru...Posted Aug 4, 2015
Malone is not a place to visit...but a great place to stop while traveling. The Redroof Inn is definitely the nicest place to stay. The girls at the front desk were so helpful and pleasant. My only complaint is that the breakfast choices were very limited...bread was dry.

One night stayPosted Jul 18, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed just for a night as we were on our way to Canada. The renovations and rooms look great. The bed was very comfortable, the staff helpful and friendly. I was not impressed with the "new" bathroom look. There was no place to safely put a travel kit, toothbrush or brush. The standing bowl made the "vanity" very crowded and difficult it which to work. Also, I was surprised to see hardwood floors (or laminate) in the bathroom considering that the shower curtain did not stop the water from the shower from going thru onto the floor. I seriously think a liner needs to be added. Water on the floor can be very dangerous.
