フロントスタッフは親切な人が多かった。 ホテル内のレストランの女性スタッフ2名は明らかに面倒くさそうな表情で働いていた。立ちながら足を組んでメニューを聞いたり、レストランのスタッフとしては最低。

Nice hotel with sea view

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Pros: Near Sliema and restaurants with sea view.
Cons: Replace the old bedding set especially the pillows and towels. They have been used for several years and have had their useful life.
Location: Excellent location.
Fairly comfortable stay with helpful staff pillows are very old and towels are not that new.

Very convenient location

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Pros: Views and location
Cons: ????
Location: Walk to anywhere to enjoy a good snack or meal and a great view.
In the center of many restaurants and cafes, great views and friendly staff. Food is fresh and all is clean. Our second stay and not our last. We visit from California and love the Maltese lifestyle!

Buon hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2016
Pros: Gli ascensori!
Vista pessima.

Lovely hotel, great location.

Pros: The pools were mostly empty, with amazing rooftop views. The indoor pool was very nice too!
Cons: Rooftop bar prices!
Location: Restaurants and bars are located all around. Bus stop nearby to travel elsewhere.
The hotel is welcoming and positioned well, surrounded by lovely restaurants and bars along the bays leading all the way to Paceville.

Disappointing

Posted Jun 1, 2016
Room servicing was not to 5 star standard. Tea/coffee was not replenished or cups/glasses washed on one occasion. Returned to room one day at 4.30-5pm and it had not been serviced. Flannels only left on 2 occasions. Smudges on patio doors throughout stay and bed linen not changed throughout 5 nights stay. On last night the mini bar could not be opened for me to store water and reported it but still unable to open it when returning to the room later that night. Telephone could not be used for outside calls without request to Reception to unblock it. Found the Hotel during the afternoon tea time without atmosphere and very quiet. Sitting in the Lounge one afternoon expecting someone to ask if we required anything and in the end walked to the Bar in a separate area to order coffee. Although the accommodation was roomy, did not like the toilet being in a separate place without basin so had to come out and then into the bathroom to wash hands. Not hygienic. Would not stay here again

It is with great disappointment reading your review and I deeply regret that your stay was not as expected. I noticed your comments regarding the cleanliness of your room as well as our service. Nevertheless we are grateful for your support and would like to thank you, once again, for taking the time to bring this matter to our attention and your kind comments regarding our associates. Good enough hotel but nothing special

Posted May 25, 2016
Pros: The location is great and the rooms really big.
Cons: Staff attitude, some touches like swimming pool bar having a nicer selection of drinks and snacks rather than just basic stuff. Restaurant food.
Location: Location is great, Balluta bay just across the street, the main coastal road giving easy access to where you want to go.
Good enough hotel but some of the areas are a little dated. The restaurant food is no good at all, despite them trying to recreate a "high end" feel with table cloths and suit-clad waiters. The food was way below average. I was really annoyed that when I checked in I wasn't asked for a credit card for them to secure any extras although my colleague was asked for one. They said I didn't have to because of the way my reservation was booked, so all OK. Then the next morning I went to have breakfast and when I finished they came with a bill and asked me to pay on the spot. I didn't have my wallet with me of course so I asked if I could settle at check out. They said no, because I hadn't given a credit card when I checked in, so I had to pay then and there. That was bad communication and manners, they should have asked my at check in to give them my card and not ask me to pay my breakfast on the spot. Some guests at check in were offered a refreshment, we weren't , so not sure what their criteria for offering a juice is...

Enjoyable and would stay again

Posted May 15, 2016
Pros: Large bedroom Spa is fantastic
Cons: Air conditioning unit was turned off on cooler days; temp could be regulated by allowing breeze in through balcony door
Location: U Bistro do good food; the suga nero pasta is particularly good Walk to the old fort at Tigne Point - great views over the harbour to Valletta
The staff in the hotel were helpful and were quick to resolve one or two minor issues that I reported. The service is professional and curtious though it could be made to feel more personal. The hotel's location is great. Balutta bay and nearby Spinola Bay are very pleasant. There is a good selection of restaurants nearby for the days you do not wish to venture too far. There are also bus links right outside the hotel to the main tourist areas on the island. Recommend The spa and its' staff were excellent and I wish I had used it earlier in my stay. Bring trainers and running kit. The seafront outside would be ideal for a morning or evening run. Negatives The hotel is well appointed and maintained but the decor felt a little dated for my taste. The layout is unusual. The reception and bar area (and staff) are located on the third floor. The main thoroughfare in and out is via the ground floor. The ground floor entrance is unmanned and unimpressive. I did not often find cause to make a special trip to the third floor and therefore barely saw any staff.

Very nice hotel

Posted May 12, 2016
Pros: Breakfast, Location
Cons: Improve touch screen for elevators, staff could be a little friendlier at the dinner buffet (greet you, seat you)
My wife and I stayed here over the weekend. Overall, this is a very nice, modern hotel. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good (though there is a charge). The location is good, as it is a short walk to many restaurants or a bus stop where you can catch the hop on/hop off tours. If you prefer to walk, its maybe 20-30 min to the ferry that will take you over to Valletta. The elevator is interesting, in that there is a touch screen outside to pick your floor and it tells you what car to get into (there are no buttons inside the cars). Though this is a bit of a "ain't broke/don't fix it" situation; the touch screen can be a little tricky since there is no separation between the buttons (makes it easy to hit the wrong floor). And not everyone understands that a car is assigned when you hit the button, so sometimes a whole group of people will get in to your car (and who knows if they wanted that floor). In the room, the toilet and shower are separate rooms, which is nice for privacy reasons though FYI there is no sink in the toilet room, so you do have to open the door before you can wash your hands. Not really a big deal, but may be for you if you are germaphobic at all.
