Great hotel near beach

Great hotel with great spa facilities! Spent new year there and loved it! Drinks are little pricey but other than that all good!

Friendly helpful and accommodating

On the first night I didn't have a good night sleep cos the weather was bad,my room was really noisy picking up noise from the sliding door.Next day had to complain and requested to move us to another room without any questions they move us to more quieter room.I will recommend this hotel to my friend and family without any doubt.

Lovely hotel. Nice touch with the unexpected anniversary treat. Close to bus stop that can take you to the main areas in Malta. Shame about the recent damage to the swimming pool from the storm last month resulting in noise in mornings from the repairs. Would have been nice to be informed of these potential disturbances beforehand or offered free breakfast perhaps given frequent emails with the hotel re: transfers etc. Nice pool area 5 minute walk from main pool. Away from hustle of nearby St Julians which is accessible by bus.

Nice hotel away from the bustling crowd

Service not adequate for 5* hotel

On the first night of our stay we experienced one of the worst storms Malta has experienced. The sea waves were splashing onto our fourth floor balcony and the howling winds kept us awake most of the night. In the morning the lifts were not in use and a member of staff asked us to use the fire exit, as we entered the main hall and discovered the lower level of the building was flooded. We understand the hotel had damage to its building that caused unexpected difficulties but feel it could have been handled more appropriately and dealt with better from a customer service perspective, as we received no assurance that the building was safe to occupy nor were we informed or updated on developments after the flooding or offered the change of accommodation at the time of the other guests. It felt as if those guests that didn͛t raise their voices and complain were not taken into consideration.

Not really a five star hotel

Pros: Staff friendly Breakfast was filling lots of choice. Lovely sea view room.
Cons: Dated furniture hotel needs updating. There should more restaurants to eat in. Found the female concierge unhelpful when I enquired about trips and possibly things to do.
Location: A few things to do nearby, nice beach in St George's bay a good place to eat is the bull and caviar.

Pleasing hotel in a great location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel facilities are great. My only negative comment is the rooms could do with freshening up. (A bit dated) (Very comfy bed)

Billed (and charged as) as a 5 star but certainly did not feel like one. Property was comfortable but very dated. Ample facilities but due to the age there was a musty smell in some of the common areas (e.g. Changing rooms by the gym etc). Service was passable but the small details were lacking, e.g. I was asked to identify and pull my luggage out which was left with concierge (apart from this lacking in service, it also meant anyone could have come in and taken my luggage), I asked for a 30-60 min extension in check out time to match my airport shuttle pick up time but was not obliged (for the price of the rooms, I would have thought this wasn't too much of an ask). I doubt I will come back here on my return visit

Nice hotel, decent location, extra fees

Pros: The hotel is nicely situated. There is a bustop up the hill, you can easily walk to a ton of nightlife, but are far enough away that the craziness avo
Cons: Minifridge in room, ice machines on each floor, a mart next door, and to be charged less when you don't get water view room.
Location: Nearby is the nightlife. There are bars, restaurants, gentlemens clubs, hookah bars, etc, but it's really just full of teenagers.
The hotel is nicely situated. There is a bustop up the hill, you can easily walk to a ton of nightlife, but are far enough away that the craziness avoids your hotel. I didn't like that there is no refrigerator. You have the option of emptying the minibar, but its at the expense of 5 Euro a day. We were limited as to what snacks we could keep in the room, and although there is lots a half mile from the hotel, if you want to grab something quick, your only options are the hotel restaurants, as there is no bar / restaurant / mart next door. There is also no ice machine, which I find bizarre. You have to request it. Since there is no refridgerator, we had to request ice for our champagne bottle. We also got one of the few rooms without a water view. We had a view of the parking lot, but there was a balcony atleast. The hot tub was the same temperature as the pool, heated, but not hot tub temp. And the swimup bar was only open until 4:30pm, so we never got to experience it (we were busy sightseeing all day). Overall its a good hotel, but had I known about everything, I probably could've got a bigger bang for my buck elsewhere.
