Not child friendly.

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: The facilities were good and the staff pleasant.
Cons: Restrictions on children using the pool. Changing the breakfast selection day to day. New bedding
Location: Location is not on the water, but a few minutes walk to all sides of the Selima pennisula
When we arrived, we were informed that children under 12 were only allowed in the pool from 8am to 2pm. (The pool is open from 8-8) This is absurd. Visiting Malta, tours begin in the morning an end in the mid afternoon. It was impossible to utilize the facilities with those restrictions. The breakfast was a limited buffet. Okay selection, but it did not vary AT ALL from day to day. Mattresses were old.

Posted Apr 1, 2017
Pros: Location and pool were the best
Cons: Not using the annexe rooms at end of dining and conference rooms for sole travellers
Location: Town centre , short walk to sea front

Good location. Close to tourist attractions.

Posted Mar 31, 2017
Pros: Good location Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: Beds were very soft!
Location: Great Easy to walk to ferries and excursion buses.
A vet pleasant hotel and friendly staff. Food was good. One problem was that on our arrival we were told that there had been a mistake and that the hotel was overbooked. We had to spend our first night in another hotel. Free dinner etc for compensation but we wasted a day.

Pros: Location and general atmosphere of the whole set up. Breakfast box made up for us on very early transfer - amazing gesture
Cons: All good.
Location: Excellent - central to many attractions. Easy to walk to harbour and get ferry to Valletta and the Hop on Hop off bus excellent.
Good location Comfortable 'home away from home' set up. Decor appealing Enjoyed our 3 nights there VERY much.

Hotel good, nice, clean rooms with big single beds

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: The room, the gym, and the location.
Cons: Med hotels don't have slimline, counting cals would have liked a Gin and Tonic.
Location: Local is great for shops, restaurants and harbour. Travel easy from the harbour. Supermarket near. All good.
Reception helpful on arrival. Good facilities. Rooms good, with good facilities. Very close to shops, and harbour. Only had breakfast, which was great. One drink in bar, not good, bar staff over personal, drink mixer flat, atmosphere disappointing.

Best ever visit to Malta

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: It has been nicely renovated/comfortable bed/kettle etc/ spacious balconies/staff excellent especially the marvellous Charles/peaceful + relaxing
Cons: Doubt it can be improved now but didn't like tub/shower combination-nothing to hold on to when showering-bath hand grip badly situated-unsafe for me
Location: Situated in a quiet, safe location at top of little hill with which I was struggling a bit. There is however a bus close by running until 10
Spent 7nights with grandson in 2 rooms at Victoria Hotel on bed + breakfast basis and was mostly well satisfied with the hotel and the excellent rate secured via Expedia. Booked taxi transfers through the hotel's own taxi arm and was entirely satisfied with the service - have had more than one bad experience of Malta's maniacal taxi drivers, but the Victoria/Palace Hotels' drove at a sedate pace. Took dinner in the hotel on one evening and had lunch with friends on two days in the hotel's Penny Black Bar all of which were quite good.

nicely situated

Posted Mar 6, 2017
Pros: quiet road..seems central to all amenities .helpful staff and very clean areas
Cons: would help if the hotel had a bank of brochures of places to see and visit (most hotels do)
Location: nice location..but very hilly . lots of places to visit, boats excursions..hop on and off buses all can be booked down on the waterfront .
booked twin beds..given a double ! Hotel now joined to the Palace..therefore a lot of messing about with different lifts to our room from foyer .

Great Hotel close to Harbor and Restaurants

Posted Feb 28, 2017
Pros: Location, Location, Location and the helpful staff as we as the property itself.
Cons: nothing I can think of
Location: Within 15 minute walk are waterfront with great views of Valetta, 10 minutes ferry ride away, and all the shopping and restaurant selection I needed.
I spent an enjoyable five nights at the Victoria which is connected to the its one star higher rated Plaza hotel via a first floor hallway. Everything in Sliema was close by, although the slightly hilly streets made it seem farther when going uphill. After exploring the hotel's area on the first day, I took the ferry to Valletta from the wharf which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I was lucky that my third and forth days were Saturday and Sunday since the hotel ran an inexpensive drop off and pick up vans to/from Mdina on Saturday and the fishermen's market in Marsaxlokk on Sunday. The shuttle allowed about four hours in each town to see the sights and have a pleasant lunch but don't wait much past mid day to dine or you may be carrying your main course back to the hotel as one couple discovered in Marsaxlokk when they waited until 1PM for their meal.

Comfortable hotel in good location.

Posted Feb 26, 2017
When we arrived, the hotel was overbooked so we were escorted to The Palace Hotel (5*) for the first night. The next day, we were back in The Victoria in a lovely room, equally as good as 5* next door. The staff were universally helpful and cheerful. Reception helped in several ways, giving advice about transport, trips etc. We were offered breakfast and dinner packages, which made the meals reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was varied and well-stocked. The 3-course dinners offered 3 or 4 choices and the waiting staff were helpful and pleasant. The location is good, being about 5 minutes walk from the seafront and bus routes into Valletta and shops and restaurants. Altogether a very good choice!

weekday break

Posted Feb 19, 2017
Pros: the friendly staff and that any queries were quickly answered or dealt with
Cons: having a bath robe in the room to use for the swimming pools
Location: up a hill but only a 5 minute walk to the seafront and all the amenities. The hop on and hop off bus and restaurants were easy access too.
upon arrival we were warmly greeted and given good instructions on local services for sightseeing. Unfortunately when we went to the room and sat on the bed the leg broke, however, it was swiftly dealt with and repaired within the hour. The room was extremely clean. The only extra that would have been helpful was a bathrobe in the room to use at the swimming pools. The breakfast was nice and lots of choice and worth the extra spent. On departure staff were very efficient in booking a taxi to the airport. Would certainly stay again and recommend it to others. It is a short walk to the seafront and within easy access to all local services, including the hospital next door (which was very quiet and you would not have known was there!).
