Indoor camping, glad no children in party
Posted May 5, 2013
Suite immaculately clean inside. 10/10
Structure of the building good, built to a high standard
Maintenance leaves a great deal to be desired. Had to use a shoulder barge to open doors, door key took ages time after time to find exact position to be able to turn it (worn out) light bulbs were blown and more blew, no spares. Furniture (except beds) in poor condition, if very clean.
Hot water awful. Kept blocking to a dribble, suggest unsuitable for children (use cooker to heat water). Similar report from couple in another apartment. Nowhere to put shower head on wall, no shower curtains, but pressure so low that showering ambitious. (Cold OK by Malta stds suggests not a supply problem)
Telephoned the number provided by Expedia to confirm arrival, it is a v-m system, nobody was present when we arrived, apparently they didn't get the message. Could have emailed, use Wardija website.
Washing up liquid, cloths etc not provided.
There is a supermarket (Scotts) where you leave the main road and another in St Pauls on the main road (open 'til later). Credit Cards are accepted widely in Malta, except when the whole system fails. It was down for days.
Site expensive for condition, which is a shame because with effort on maintenance it could be good.
Expect to hire a car or use taxis, else anticipate uphill walk.
A quick count indicated approx a dozen bookings listed in total Sept-April.
~25 apartments, so not much booked in last six months?
