Pretty little hotelPosted Sep 15, 2015
Location: Its a quite village, although the Wentworth Arms itself seems to be a popular stop off for people on their way back from the coast.
We only stayed over night but had a thoroughly pleasant experience. The room was clean and prettily decorated, with a very clean en-suite shower room. Very quiet, even though it looks out on to the main road and could hear no noise from the pub downstairs. The meals downstairs in the pub were first rate - you need to book as they are very popular. Finally a nice cooked breakfast in the morning, served by the lovely staff. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Free wifi throughout also.

Friendly staff, shame about the accommodationPosted Jun 2, 2015
We just needed a bed for the night somewhere in the local area - and that's what we got. I get the impression the accommodation was created as cheaply as possible as an additional source of income for a village pub. Room was small with a fold up camp bed stuffed in the wardrobe. Bedroom floor (first floor) was uneven and en suite bathroom tiny - couldn't wash my feet in the shower! Walls were thin - there was music and conversation noise from the downstairs bar (which was nothing raucous) until gone midnight. The room was mostly fairly clean, but in need of redecoration and updated fixtures and fittings. We had a safety concerns too - all the bedrooms were labelled as fire doors (presumably because there was only one staircase and no other fire escape) - but clearly weren't - you could see half an inch of daylight around one door - not going to keep out smoke, fire or fresh air!! Extra electric powerpoints had been added in the room, which would be useful, but they were all wired on one single spur from an ancient single electric powerpoint and we dare not plug anything into them! On the plus side, there was off road parking, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very good.

Overpriced?Posted Jun 2, 2015 on Hotels
All we needed was a night's respite in between wedding events over two far flung venues. We arrived at 11.30 pm and left the following morning at 10am. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. TV didn't work, cobwebs adorned the light fitting, one table-side lamp didn't work. Nevertheless, it gave us that one night we needed. The only issue would be the cost of that night. Would have happily paid £60/65.

Excellent breakfast and lovely location.Posted May 12, 2015 on Hotels
The staff were very accomodating with our request for an extra bed in the room, due to a last minute addition to the party. Bar staff were also helpful in calling the taxi firm for us when our booked taxi hadnt turned up.
