Beautiful location, lovely accommodation, very good value.

Outstanding property of the Grand Designs ilk, the photographs do not lie. Pam was a helpful but discreet host, checking we had what we needed but leaving us to enjoy ourselves. We stayed in the B&B accomodation which is finished to a high standard and provides everything you need. The shower room is very small, if you're big or very tall you may struggle and as the bedroom and bathroom is in the eaves and has a sloping ceiling it's a little tight to move around but overall it is lovely accommodation in an beautiful location and excellent value for money. Pam showed us the self contained accommodation at the house, it is outstanding with lots of space. We will very likely book that next time, we certainly wouldn't hesitate to return.

      5/5 Excellent

        Lovely Location

It was a beautiful house and location and we were made very welcome by our host Pam.

        4/5 Good

          Interesting stay

Stayed two nights in the second floor bedroom. Wonderful unique house full of character, fabulous views, watched woodpeckers on the oak tree, admired horses and lots of fresh air. The only minor criticism was the odd noise the bed made sometimes. Pam is lovely and showed us the other rooms available...very nice.

          4/5 Good

Pros, The property is beautiful, well finished overlooking the countryside, it was so peaceful. Pam is very friendly and accommodating and made our stay great. We stayed in the attic room which is a comfortable room with great views of the neighbouring fields and live stock. Cons, Being 6'1" I found the attic space quite small, we could feel every spring in the bed making it not the most comfortable of sleeps.

            5/5 Excellent

Fantastic room everything you could hope for and even more. No shared bathroom, but a lovely ensuite complete with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided. Refreshments that were replenished daily. Good choice of breakfast plus a variety of teas and coffees. Pam was a great host very knowledgeable about the area and nothing was to much trouble for her, great stay will definitely return for another stay, the two self catering units love fantastic.
