"It's been everything pleasant and easy"
very good place with a beach side protected from the south wind (when present) so that to enjoy the beach and the snorkeling despite the sea outside was rough. It's a place very quite and fit for families with a very good kids club with open air activities (cocunuts hunting, crab hunting, handicraft with straw, sand castle and evening walks and play on the beach - bottom glass boat trip close to the beach), my daughter loved it and a lot of kids are there anytime. Snorkeling is good even not very far from the beach (trumpet fish, stingrays, corals and reef fishes, I saw also small lobsters and a couple of baby black tip shark). The mattress was not very confortable for me becasuse it was too soft and I suffered it because of the position. Buffet could be better but with a la carte menu one week can be enjoyed. Pizza was not good at all.

"Beautiful staff, awesome views"
Easy going days, water crystal clear, lunch menu my favourite big selection and fast service. Well done keeping kids out of adult pool not like castaway adults ignore sign. Wait till they are kids free.

Mana Island Resort & Spa

33 Namoli Street, Mana Island - Map
"Beautiful location, awesome snorkelling."
Loved Mana. The resort was doing some upgrading while we were ther but that didn't cause any issues with our stay. The outdoor shower in our Bure was great! The food was good but expensive. There are other places to eat for less near the village on the south side. Sunset beach is a highlight as well as snorkelling on the north side. They need to put up more umbrellas and shade sails around the pool, fix the slippery tiles around the pool area ( these are new as well ) and put in some air curtains for the dining areas to stop the annoying amount of flies. Also more ceiling fans in the lobby and dining areas are needed. The kids club is good if they stick to the daily planner, I realize they are on 'Fiji island time' but don't disappoint the kids by telling them it's turtle feeding time and then make them watch a staff member having fun feeding the turtles. Also have a bit more respect for the turtles, handlers were rough! Overall we loved the island, beach, water and staff. The resort like any could improve in areas.

"Snorkeling Heaven"
Bounty Island is surrounded by corals and countless tropical fish. White sand (and shells) and crystal clear water is magnificent. Our hut was 20m from the ocean. If you enjoy peacefulness and snorkeling, this is the perfect place. We stayed there for three nights with our 6 year-old, who wasn't keen on snorkeling at all. She spent most of her time in the pool and loved it. The facility of this resort is very basic but they are building a few more new hut to replace the old ones, so try to book yourself into the new huts if you can. The water on the island had weird taste so we had to buy all the water (FJ$7 per bottle) so if you can bring plenty bottled water with you. They have a compulsory daily charge for food per person which in my opinion is quite expensive for what they offered. One unpleasant experience is that there were bed bugs in our room. Both my husband and I got bitten quite badly. We were so worried about bringing any home with us, we put everything clothing item in the dryer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

"So glad we chose treasure Island not other islands"
Treasure Island is perfect size with great snorkelling from beach front and around reef dropoff around whole Island. Easy paddle to beachcomber Island where I caught free snorkelling trip to reefs in deep water. Stunning! Food good value a large carte (we took cereals for breakfast)

"Great Hostel"
My stay at Beachcomber was amazing. I was on the island for a week and I got to know members of the staff very well - their service level is exceptional. I stayed in the dorm room, and whilst the beds were close together and not the comfiest, it was still good value for money. A few negatives: several off the the free activities listed were not available/broken. The ocean trampoline was not there, the kyacks and paddle boards were broken and the snorkelling gear was not the best. There is a compulsory meal charge on the island which Expedia failed to mention. This was 83FJD per day which is more than I planned I spent on food.

"Great family stay"
Good resort with great amenities. We stayed in a poolside room, which was basic, but clean and spacious. Kids age 4 and 5, loved the kids club, pools and waterslide. We took mini torches, which the kids used at night to look for crabs. It was great to have access to snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddle boards, at no additional cost. Food options for vegetarians / vegans, and access to fresh fruit, are limited so I would recommend you take fruit with you. Resort staff were wonderful and friendly. We will be back.

"Fantastic Holiday!"
As soon as we arrived at The Sheraton Tokoriki we were greeted with smiles. We were checked in straight away and taken to our room. The room was very comfortable and loved the bathroom! We loved that the beach was less then 50 metres from our room. The water is crystal clear and the snorkelling is amazing. We are big foodies and we certainly was not disappointed with the food. it was exceptional! Loved how there were different activities daily that you could participate. The staff were lovely. Nothing was never a bother for them and went over and beyond if I had asked for anything. During my stay I had already told my husband that we were coming back for my birthday in August. Thank you again to the wonderful staff at The Sherarton Tokoriki for making our holiday a memorable one! See you in August!

"A relaxing experience "
This resort is staffed by friendly Fijian people who do anything to please their guests. The happy atmosphere is "rubbing off" on guest and we were a happy family. The managerress and assistant are doing a fantastic job, not to forget people behind the bar and dining room. The food is just delicious, the menu changed every day and there is lots to choose from. The chefs know their trade, it is an open kitchen and I could see how food is prepared, handled and cooked. All looks very clean. It is a surfers paradise for young surfers from all over the world. There are many activities during the day, not only hiking or snorkelling but boat trips to Cloud 9 etc. I am 78, I loved every day of my 9 days at this resort.

Pocket Guide: Mamanuca Islands, Fiji Family Hotels

A group of small islands offshore from Nadi, the Mamanucas are ringed by sandy beaches, turquoise to pastel green waters, and coral reefs. Access is a quick hop from Nadi via boat or plane transfer, and accommodation options range from budget to luxury, and bures (traditional thatch-roof huts) through to exclusive beachfront villas. Scuba diving and snorkelling in this region comes highly recommended.
