"It's been everything pleasant and easy"
very good place with a beach side protected from the south wind (when present) so that to enjoy the beach and the snorkeling despite the sea outside was rough. It's a place very quite and fit for families with a very good kids club with open air activities (cocunuts hunting, crab hunting, handicraft with straw, sand castle and evening walks and play on the beach - bottom glass boat trip close to the beach), my daughter loved it and a lot of kids are there anytime. Snorkeling is good even not very far from the beach (trumpet fish, stingrays, corals and reef fishes, I saw also small lobsters and a couple of baby black tip shark). The mattress was not very confortable for me becasuse it was too soft and I suffered it because of the position. Buffet could be better but with a la carte menu one week can be enjoyed. Pizza was not good at all.

"Pleasant hotel on the beach"
The first few days were very relaxing but sadly the cyclone hit and we lost power in the Beach front bures. The staff remained cheerful and tried to get power restored. The Reception area has been recently replaced and is lovely but the main restaurant needs an upgrade. The swimming pool is huge but would have been more comfortable if deck loungers had cushions. There are several places you could eat with other resorts within a close walk. Due to storm we were required to leave resort a day early.

"Island getaway, with pool and cafeteria/restaurant"
Great place for an island retreat. The bungalows were really nice, some are away from everyone. The beach seemed very secluded at the far end, if you're looking for a private getaway. We likely the water sports activity center with diving, snorkeling, and sailing activities available. There is a fancy pool and nice restaurant. The water and the island were absolutely beautiful.

Fijians warm and friendly and very hospitable. The island is incredible perfect size for families as kids could roam without worry of getting lost. Just perfect size for families. Will definitely be back.

"Highly recommend for a truly Fijian holiday"
I love everything about Bounty Island. The beach is absolutely stunning with really good snorkeling and lots of either free or paid for activities like paddle boarding and jet skis. The daily food charge is good value, plenty of food available for all three meals and a wide variety available. I stayed in the new Deluxe Beach Front Bures and think they were fantastic. Literally meters to the water, great air conditioning, spacious, fresh and clean and good proximity to the pool and eating areas without being disturbed by any noise. There was nightly entertainment by the staff and welcome new guests and farewell those leaving. Speaking of staff, they are the ultimate highlight, each and everyone of them were so incredibly friendly and helpful. They meet you once and forever remember your name, it was awesome. This is by no means a 5 star resort, its basic and rustic but offers everything that you need/want if you are looking for a true Fijian holiday. No big flash restaurants with marble everywhere and sterile environment, this is a welcoming, fun friendly resort that I will definitely visit again.

"Right on the beach"
The stay at plantation island was what you would expect from an island resort. Our room was 15 steps from the beach and was clean and air conditioned- a big plus. Free snorkelling gear and beach towels was an awesome perk as there is snorkelling straight off the beach. The sand bar that you can pay to boat to was also a great deal at only $15 for an hour (only a 5 min boat ride). The food was great and the food plan meant we didn't have to worry too much once there. Although we felt that the food plan didn't necessarily save us that much money over just buying each meal as we went- as they were similarly priced and the food plan required you buy it for every day which seemed a little restrictive. The service was friendly but occassionally the staff seemed misinformed with information. There seemed like lots for kids to do and the overall feel was lovely. I would suggest taking your own snacks as they're over priced as you would expect. However the small super market on the island does provide food for lunch which we thought was a lot more reasonable than the restaurants/snack bars or the lunch meal plan they offered.

Friendly staff, great accommodation, great facilities. A piece of paradise. Food is awesome, with the menu changing daily. Best to helicopter in so that you can enjoy it longer. Loved it. Great for couples and families alike. Great place to relax and unwind, and the spa is good too.

Pocket Guide: Mamanuca Islands, Fiji Family Hotels

A group of small islands offshore from Nadi, the Mamanucas are ringed by sandy beaches, turquoise to pastel green waters, and coral reefs. Access is a quick hop from Nadi via boat or plane transfer, and accommodation options range from budget to luxury, and bures (traditional thatch-roof huts) through to exclusive beachfront villas. Scuba diving and snorkelling in this region comes highly recommended.
