Magical jungle paradisePosted Dec 29, 2016
We had the most wonderful experience with Lorraine. She showed us around town and gave us really great recommendations around St. Lucia. Some of our favorite adventures were ones she mentioned. Highly recommended!

It is a room in a house not a hotel. The owner is very kind and you are in the middle of forest with a river close by.

Rural locationPosted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: We were free to come and go, use the kitchen in a genial, friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Shower heater could be upgraded.
Location: Mamiku gardens are just down the road but the location is well away from the main tourist resorts and facilities on the island.
A small guesthouse with basic facilities surrounded by forest. A car is essential. The landlady could not have been more helpful but mosquitoes were a bit of a problem.

Very nice peaceful environmentPosted May 16, 2014
Pros: Location of the main route. Relaxing atmosphere. Our Hostess.
Cons: Air-conditioning maybe, but that would take away from some of the experience.
Location: If your willing to walk out to the main road and take a local bus there are many options. However strictly walking you are limited.
We did a full circle of St Lucia with this being our last 2 nights. It was hard to figure out how to get there but after an email we were told by our host that we could take the bus to Mamiku Gardens and get them to call our host of a pickup. The house is very close to Mamiku Gardens. (Side note Mamiku Gardens was very quite since it was a drought and not that attractive a place that point in the year). The house was a great spot with a great yard and covered porch to relax in. We were told the best things to do in the area and ended up spending our free day there at the beach by "The Reef". The only downside to this place was that it was very hot at night with no A/C. But it was a great experience of interior St. Lucia, just remember this is not a resort but a bed n breakfast. If that is what your looking for you should have a great relaxing time.

Delightful place and wonderful hostPosted Jan 27, 2014 on Hotels
A lovely great value option in a remote part of the island far away from all the tourists and resorts. Very peaceful and the owner Lorraine is very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Close to NaturePosted Dec 30, 2013 on Hotels
This hotel is actually a house owned and maintained by a beautiful lady that takes good care of guests. It is a bit hard to get to, given the conditions of the roads and the infrastructure in the country's countryside - but the views of the plantations and natural offerings of the island are nothing short of spectacular. My stay was amazing and worth every penny spent, especially with the friendliness and cooperation of the hotel staff taken into account. This facility is more ideal for solo/couple travelers than those with family/kids, and for those willing to obtain a first-hand encounter with the locals and the local challenges (toads, mosquitoes, etc). Definitely not for the upscale tourist.
Exceptionally friendly, low-key guest housePosted Nov 28, 2013 on Hotels
We had a fantastic stay at Lorraine's. Though the house and it's rooms are quite small this is more than made up for by the warmth and friendliness of the host and the incredible calmness of the location. Thoroughly recommended for getting off the beaten track and seeing the real side of St Lucia.

friendly, safe and fun accomodationPosted Feb 28, 2013
Pros: Great bed, friendly and helpful host, quiet peaceful location.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, if you like shopping, dont stay here...
Location: Rural setting , the river at the bottom of the garden is a great feature.
Cared for and managed by Lorraine, the quality is entirely dependant on her effort . Which we found to be consistently first class. Vrry frirndly, helpful and accomodating in rvery way. The brd was the most vomfortable we have ever slept in on vacation, which at 49 yrs of age and 3 trips per year, is saying something! Access road is rough which may create a poor first impression to anyone used to smooth roads but gauranteed that will be forgottrn on arrival , its a quirky featurr thereafter

An experience I will never forgetPosted Sep 26, 2012 on Hotels
At first surprised where the location was, far away from any amenities, I'm used to staying in hotels, so this was a different experience for me, but me and my husband ending up loving it, we got to bath in the fresh river water at the back of the house and taking in the sounds of nature, we definitely wouldn't of got this experience at any hotel, and the manger Lorraine was a great host, really cared about her guests we would definitely stay there again
