"The villa is spacious with great views. Beds are very comfortable, with (essential) mosquito nets. Kitchen is adequate but without much work surface. Swimming pool is fantastic, long enough to swim lengths and the water is warm. It is away from tourist centres. However it is not isolated, in fact the grass strimming in the neighbouring property was loud (about one day a week), and the traffic on the main road can just be heard – especially at weekends when motorcyclists seem to test their machines on the hill. That aside it is usually very quiet and peaceful. It is hard to find the villa without a satnav or Google map type application (ask for the Fox Grove Inn – it is next door – but that is currently closed so there are no signposts from the main road). Albina kept the villa spotlessly clean. She also fixed several problems that arose. We believe we were just unlucky and had problems with the water supply, toilet not flushing, a pool repair and a mix-up over booking dates. However each of these was sorted on the day it occurred and we were there for a whole month, so most days were fine. Albina was easy to contact, and was often on the site cleaning the (unoccupied) owner’s villa downstairs. Razia was also easy to contact. Follow the advice from Razia in the villa guide about protecting yourself from mosquitoes."

"From the moment we arrived at Bayleaf, it was clear that this wasn't just another holiday rental: tucked away near a secluded beach, our stay at Bayleaf offered an unparalleled back-to-nature experience. The wooden jalousie cottage, artfully decorated with beautiful local decorative accents blends seamlessly into the lush surroundings and invites you to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. One of the highlights of our experience (thoughtfully coordinated by our host Dawn) was the meal catered by a local chef of local cuisine cooked on the traditional St. Lucian clay ovens. We dined alfresco amidst the trees and the food was an absolute delight - the experience was something truly special. Communication with the Dawn is exemplary ensuring every need is met with promptness and a personal touch. (We could just text via Whatsapp, making our stay truly comfortable and hassle-free). Bayleaf's location is a treasure trove for those seeking authenticity. The proximity to pristine beaches, often deserted, offers a rare luxury and an compelling alternative to the islands other crowded destinations (which are all accessible by choice with around a 45 minute drive). The outdoor amenities, including beach towels, portable hammocks, and a cooler, encourage spontaneous adventures to the nearby shores or leisurely days spent under the stars. "It would be hard to find anything to complain about regarding our stay with Ken and Diane at Coco View Villa in Vieux Fort, St Lucia. On our daily check-in about activities, we learned insider tips about the community. We loved the locals’ beach in the next town up, enjoyed chicken with “bakes”, grilled fish and pork from local restaurants, and on their hibachi. We did enjoy some of the touristy things, the botanical garden, and the Hotel Chocolate Tree to Bar tour as well as a day of snorkeling. But the highlight was the comfort, beauty, and generosity of the hosts. Retired from the Canadian military, they built their home on a steep rutted road in an amazing neighborhood halfway up a mountain. You’re awakened by roosters and the barking neighborhood dogs who also help put you to sleep at night. if you are people who want to get away from the all inclusive, don’t mind driving a rental on spectacular winding roads, and would enjoy being greeted warmly by your hosts and their friendly pooches, you receive our highest recommendation."

"We loved the property, the views, the spaciousness of the house. We enjoyed the pool almost every day. Everything was clean and very well taken care of. The gardens were well kept and we even enjoyed fresh coconut water thanks to the gardener. Pool was clean and well maintained. The view from the veranda was really nice, we saw mountain tops and ocean waves. The breeze coming off the ocean was refreshing. Rooms were very large and spacious. We were very comfortable there. It was easy to work with the property manager as well. We had a great week with lots of memories. We look at returning in the future. Thanks to the host for supplying a wonderful property."

"We celebrated my 50th birthday with a girls getaway. The house was well-appointed and very clean.The neighborhood was something out of a tropical fairy tale with lovely landscaping and fruit trees. Myrna went above and beyond by providing a delicious birthday cake and Virginia gave us culinary tour theough wvery wonderful meal she served. Everyone we met were kind and generous. I'm already planning to return as soon as possible!"
