I booked this through Hotels.com and saw the daily rate. I breezed through the next screens since I use Hotels.com frequently and info is already in the system. I didn't realize until I had completed the booking that there was an additional $166 cleaning fee and another $79 in taxes. For my 3 day trip the condo was over $80 more a night than I initially thought. This is my bad for not reading every screen. Had I done so I probably would have booked a different place I found for $100 less overall.
I had stayed at this complex before and like it. It has a nice pool, hot tub, club house area. All of the units are individually owned and run by different rental companies. Most had key pads on the door so you could check yourself in, but I had to go into town to check in and get my key. Not a big deal, but not as convenient. Every time I called the rental agency said they were closed even if I called during working hours. The after hours number never answered but would text back, but it was hard to get questions fully answered or issues resolved.
The two issues I had were that there was no WiFi for the unit and I didn't have a pool key. I don't think the website specified "No WiFi" but they should have. The cell reception (with AT&T) was very bad in the unit (no bars to 1 bar) so my WiFi hot spot was barely serviceable. With the pool key the after hours text told me that the room key opened the pool gate but it did not.
