Great location - but construction work at nightPosted Aug 9, 2015
The hotel's location is excellent, right by the Art Museum, Town Hall and Central Library. However, there is construction work on the metro link line in St. Peter's Square, so if your room faces the square, you may have a lovely view, but be kept awake by drilling and hammering throughout the night. I'd check to make sure the work is completed, which I believe it should be by September, or request a room that is not facing St. Peter's Square. Personally, I put ear plugs in, and turned the fan way up, and slept fine - but I heard some other guests complaining bitterly about sleep deprivation... Once that work is over, the hotel is to be recommended.

Sentralt hotellPosted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: Stort rom, rent, hyggelig personalet, beliggenhet.

Never again...!Posted Aug 5, 2015
Cons: Everything could be improved room quality, staff training....
Location: The location is great. Very close to the actual city center. Right opposite to the Manchester Art Gallery.
We arrived three hours before check in time - they send us away and said: come back in three hours. At least we could have finished the bureaucracy and formalities for check in without actually getting the key! The bathroom stank. The room is totally outdatd. The beds were so old that when you lie on the mattress you would 'roll' into the deeper middle part! On the street, in front of our room construction was going on.

Outstanding little hotelPosted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Quality furnishings, service and affordable rates.
Location: Walking distance of most of central Manchester
I have stayed here many times and it is still as good as ever: attentive service; comfortable, large, well-equipped rooms; quiet; good breakfast; excellent location.

Excellent stay in the center of Manchester.Posted Jun 14, 2015
Pros: The room was large, well decorated, quiet and clean, extras such as a king size bed, wash cloth and tissues. The staff was friendly & knowledgeable
Cons: The staff forgot the wake up call; some minor confusion using the cards for the elevator and the lights in the room. Instructions would help.
Location: The hotel is close to the art museum, town hall & Chinatown with a wide selection of restaurants about a block from the metro.
We stayed two nights as tourists in Manchester exploring the city.

Great hotel in the heart of ManchesterPosted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness and modern feel. Very nice entrance foyer , good restaurant and smart upscale bar.
Cons: Nothing really
Location: Right in the heart of business Manchester and also in Chinatown. Area was a lot quieter than I thought it would be.
I was only staying one night to catch a flight back to the USA next morning. Check in was easy and quick, after driving from Scotland most of the day, it was great to get into my room. Shower was awesome and room was very clean. If you crave views from your room this is not the place. The hotel does not look like much from outside but has been totally renovated inside. Tips: pay the 10 pounds for breakfast at check in....best deal Parking: Hotel has no parking. Street has meters with a couple of hour limit. There is a Novastar hotel a block away and underground parking in a spotless garage was 22 pounds for the overnight. I thought it was the safest way to go.
