Clean, Quiet and Affordable

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Pros: The refrigerator allowed me to stock up on food and beverage items and lessen the need for eating out.
Location: There were plenty of stores and restaurants within a mile of the hotel. Highways to Boston, the beach and the White Mountains are all nearby.
I spent a week in Manchester and needed a place to stay that was centrally located, close to the highways and within budget. Upon arriving at Econo Lodge, the friendly associate at the front desk promptly registered me. When he learned that I was staying for seven nights, he offered to fix me up with one of his most quiet rooms up on the fifth floor. He was true to his word. While I was within very close proximity of a busy highway, I could not hear the traffic noise, nor did I ever hear anything from the neighboring rooms. I found my room to be very clean and with all the basic necessities to provide a comfortable stay. The desk was equipped with a comfortable office chair that reclined, and it had plenty of outlets for powering my laptop, cell phone charger, a portable Bose speaker and the charger for my camera batteries. The Wi-Fi connection was reliable and fast. The continental breakfast wasn't overly fancy but was better than most of the other low-cost hotels I've visited. I had a very pleasant stay.

The Usual

Posted Oct 14, 2017
Pros: Parking
Cons: Toilet paper
Location: South Manchester, on Hancock.
What can I say? It's an Econolodge. It was a a boiler room when we checked in and cold the next morning. There is plenty of parking and it is in an older section of town if you want to walk around and see some cool old houses.

The room was ok. There was nothing extra about the staff or the hotel itself. We needed a place to sleep and thats all it was. I had to go tot he front desk to get an iron as there isn't any in the room.

Top floor too hot

The lift indicator did not show on the 5 th floor so you had no idea of its progress. Some clients were surly. Gave us a bed for the night so no teal complaints.

Neat little hotel

Close to the convention center - about a six minute drive - and way cheaper. It's not decked out to the nines, but it's perfect for a little place to rest. Hotel staff was accommodating and friendly and our rooms were in perfect condition.

Hotel staff was gracious, but slow. Overall they were very kind. Not sure what the bed was made of, memory foam or river soaked mattress. Still comfortable.
