The Selina, was perfect for going out in town and easy reach of trams and trains. Luckily we stayed out till the wee hours, so missed the noise of a Saturday night in the room. I loved the coupon for a free drink,comfy bed, . The only trouble was, the shower was just about luke warm at best, . Great for a base if going out in Manchester.Wouldnt advise if you need a good sleep for the next day.There are earplugs in the room. 8 out of 10, would stay there again if going out in Manchester

Fantastic staff, very clean and helpful. Was in walking distance to a lot of nightlife and restaurants and had easy access to Shudehill interchange, and Piccadilly Gardens metro link. Highly recommended to anyone who comes to Manchester!

For the price and the location, I think it's value for money. Also, staff are very friendly and helpful. Very much appreciated of their help. The welcome drink at Wilson's social was nice too :) More cleaning on the share toilet and shower room and the common area would be recommended.

It was very noisy, it was st. patrick’s day but i imagine with the amount of bars around including one just off the lobby as long as it’s a thursday to saturday it'll be loud till 2am

We really were happy with our stay here. It is in the perfect location, being the Northern Quarter which makes everything very easy to get to. Initially, I entered the room to find a lot of mould and damp in the bathroom and bedroom. After speaking with downstairs, they were very helpful and very quick to sort me out with another room, given I am asthmatic, and we were very pleased with the upgrade! I could not express how pleased we were. We will definitely be coming again!

This hostel is awesome, great staff. Just they should warn you about the noise of the bar next door. It went on until 2am and my room was rocking. I would of loved it all but I had things to do in the morning. Other then that, great value, great location and if I was out for the night couldn't think of a better place to stay. (just be upfront at the booking stage)

Central hostel with a great price for the quality
Really friendly and efficient staff, offered to store my bags without being asked even before my official check in time. Nicely decorated and comfortable communal areas. Comfortable beds and you don't feel like you are sleeping on top of each other. Towels provided are of decent quality and the shower was a decent size. No scissors in kitchen but that is about the worst comment I have.

Terrible on every level. Drunk people shouting till all hours. This is not a hotel but a hostel. If I would have known I would have booked else where especially at the price I paid for it.

Mysterious white stains on the sofa, less mysterious brown marks in the bathroom. Missing button in the lift, water damaged everywhere & hazard tape to accentuate the risk of being knocked out - potentially sweet relief from the agony of staying here.

Such a lovely hotel me and my friends were so impressed with the family room the complimentary drink was a nice touch too the staff were really friendly and welcoming and also let us keep our bags in a safe locked room after we checked out so we could go look around before we headed home would definitely stay again only thing I could say is the room was really warm maybe on a night turn the heating down a touch

wouldn’t be on my list to go back to.
Ive stayed in plenty of hostels, this wasn’t the worst but wasn’t the best either. I wouldn’t recommend staying for a solo trip there isn’t much of a communal area so you can feel a bit lonely. If you are going out partying everyday during the weekend then this place will suit you but my room was facing the main street one floor above the bar, music didn’t end till 4am. It was manageable but again not ideal.
