Very tired decor. Dirty, worn, loose, ragged carpet in places. Torn wallpaper in our bedroom. Slapdash painting where ceiling paint has got on the walls. Dreadful workmanship where pencil lines have been left. Odd paint patches on internal doors. Screws on door handle all at different angles and not screwed home it looked awful. Very obvious filled holes in bathroom tiles. Footless wardrobe too narrow for a coat hanger. Chipped and worn furniture. Lack of care to detail in the cleaning of our suite (dust on top of pictures, headboard, skirting boards, lamps, orange stains on tile grout in bath and black mould). Thick dust in reception area. Thick splodges of something on stair carpet which has not been cleaned. Being told there was a £10 booking in fee (on top of the £289 we were already paying for one night!) car parking an extra £20. The staff were lovely, chatty and helpful, superb.

The hotel advertises it’s a 4 star which leads to much disappointment as it’s a 3 star at best. The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms, the hotel needs a serious facelift and is not well maintained or cleaned. During our stay, we returned to our room with the door left open, and nothing was done when we told the front desk. On another day, we came back to the room in the evening and it still had not been cleaned. On our first night, the fire alarm went off in the hotel, forcing everyone to take the stairs to evacuate. The stairwell was disgustingly dirty, and the area surrounding the hotel felt unsafe to stand and wait for the clearing in the evening. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with our stay and we will not be returning to the hotel or others within the Accor group.

Nice hotel in a good location, a little dated but it was comfortable. Staff were friendly and room clean in key areas, bed and bathroom but the layer dush elsewhere means they are missing areas the deem unimportant.

We were faced with several issues , mainly caused by the Hotel booking system causing huge problems for the staff. The staff dealt with all the issues in a thoroughly professional manner.

Experience was much better than expected based on the reviews. Room was nice (though I think there were some renovations being done so perhaps not all rooms have been updated), clean (though cleaning staff were moving around the hotel quite early looking for rooms to clean - more a management problem I imagine), and there was a kettle despite someone saying there wasn't. Staff were friendly, including the concierge who talked to us every time we left. It is very close to shops, restaurants, tram stops, train station. Only thing that definitely needs to improve is the pillows. You get two on the bed which is great, but one is super soft and the other is super hard. Both uncomfortable, neither quite high enough on its own and together are too high.

Ac not working I couldn’t sleep at all. I have to open a window, at the end I have to open the full door but they noise was so loud I was waking up every hour!!!! Horrible experience!!!!
