Easy access to all that Manchester has to offer!

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Breakfast buffet - choice and selection - kids ate free
Cons: Bathroom a little bit dark
Location: Easy to walk out to Manchester city centre; close to St Peter's Square tram stop. About a 10-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station
Great experience from check-in to check-out. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Staff very helpful with providing information. Proximity to tram stop and centre of Manchester. All great!

Good convenient location for city centre access

Posted Apr 30, 2017
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Air conditioning
Location: Shopping, restaurants, night clubs, conference centre.
Stayed for one night in the family room. Good facilities overall. The room was not large enough to accommodate a cot once the sofa bed was opened. The breakfast was satisfactory but nothing to shout about. The staff were helpful and courteous. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Excellent for walking distance access to city centre clubs/restaurants/shopping. Also very convenient adjacent car park. The main downside was the air conditioning. The room was too hot as the air conditioning doesn't work well. Opening the window helped but then there is noise from outside.

Comfortable beds - decor a little tired. Can be noisy at the weekend. On street parking limited to 2 hours (Manchester C.C. Obviously trying and succeeding in driving visitors out of the city centre) and is expensive

Personally I couldn't fault Novotel Manchester at all. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I will definitely be using them again next time I'm in Manchester.

Poor service

Service during breakfast was shocking to say the least! Not enough staff, not enough tables and constantly waiting for food to be prepared!

Convenient location

Posted Feb 12, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from the Palace Theatre and also on the Metroshuttle route (free bus) so the location is ideal if visiting the theatre. It is also close to Chinatown so there are many restaurants in the vicinity. The downside is that this is a fairly rundown area of the city centre with no upmarket shopping close by. It is also within easy reach of Manchester Piccadilly and Oxford Road train stations. The hotel rooms are very basic but fine for a one night stay. The breakfast buffet was good.

Good clean hotel

Room great. Wide selection for breakfast. We weren't there shopping so not sure about the shopping experience, but a short walk or taxi to the arena which is why we chose it. Price was great too
