The hotel itself was lovely and clean, and had a parking garage which I really liked for convenience. I booked a king bed room and was told that they didn't have any, and that I didn't reserve it because it was booked thru expedia, so I ended up with 2 double beds. I've booked thru expedia almost every time I've traveled and I have always gotten the type of room I've requested. I ended up putting my band mate on the room and giving him the extra bed. Here's why I will never stay there again. My band mate and I were traveling a few hours to play a show down the street from the hotel. The first employee to greet us was quite friendly and he didn't seem to be phased by my singer. Then later on, we come back in to go to our room, and a different male staff member hollers at me to show my room key to him. I felt offended considering we were not the only 2 in the lobby, or the only 2 that walked in the door at the same time, but we were the only 2 apparently that looked like we were up to no good. My band mate is a tall Jamaican rasta with long dreadlocks and I'm a heavily tattooed female. The staff member saw that I was offended by him calling me over loudly, and so he explained that he just asks because people like to go to other people's rooms to party. I think I was more offended by that! We traveled to work!! We were going to bed so we could travel a few hours home!! I don't appreciate the profiling of the 2 of us and the assumption we were there to party.
