“I got bed bugs from this place. After waking up after the first day I noticed red bumps on my feet and ankles. I thought maybe it was from a reaction from somewhere else. Put lotion on and they started to go away. Then after the second night, I woke up with far worse bites. “A well appointed, spotlessly clean, and oh so comfortable hideaway, with lovely bush views. Hearing kiwi calling in the night and kākā during the day added to the feeling of being somewhere very special. Our hosts were lovely, and generous with their time and suggestions of things to do. The bach is just up the road from the Tawharanui Open Sanctuary (and night-time kiwi spotting), and the Matakana Market and Cinema are just 10 minutes away. We'll be back!”
