The hotel is very simple. There are a lot of better options for the same price range closer to the Times Square and Central Park. The staff was very nice, the room wasn't very clean though. One of the elevators stopped working the day we checked out, and it was the one that goes from 7th to 12th floors. We had to go down the stairs holding our luggage 3 floors down to catch the other elevator. The breakfast they provide is basically beagles, donuts and coffee. The location is good, it's very close to the Empire State Biulding and there's a rooftop bar in a walking distance. Overall the hotel is ok, there's a subway station a block away, what makes easy to go to other locations, but if you're looking for a luxurious place this is definitely not your option.

Hi We are sorry if we did not meet your expectations and were very surprised and disappointed by your comments. We are a strong 3 1/2 star hotel and your experience and feedback is by no means typical as our reviews attest to. Unfortunately, the issue with the elevator was due to kids jumping in the car which caused it to stop working. We responded quickly and apologize for the inconvenience but it was outside our control. We also could have easily assisted you with your luggage if you had informed us and even put up signage indicating the elevator company was on site addressing the issue and if you needed assistance, to contact us. Typically, we are one of the best values in the city year round and offer incredible value and complimentary amenities like 24 hour fresh ground Starbucks coffee and Lipton tea and a daily continental breakfast which most hotels do not offer. It includes orange and apple juice, whole bananas and apples, assorted muffins, croissants, danish, donuts and bagels with cream cheese and jellies so a bit more than you describe. Most guests appreciate the extra value as it is complimentary and a great savings. Once again our sincere apologies if we did not meet your expecations. Have a nice day.

Great location, delicious breakfast, nice staff

Posted Apr 15, 2018
Loved the layout of the double queen room because the beds were not parallel to each other. Made sleeping in the same room as the kids bearable! We loved the breakfast: bagels, croissants, muffins, donuts, juice and coffee. The room was quiet. The bathroom was not updated, but its large size and ample storage surfaces more than made up for that. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel welcome. The area was great...lots of life, but not so busy that we felt mowed down by tourists. Lots of healthy eating choices in the area too, and it’s just a short block from a subway stop.

Great location, great rooms

Posted Apr 12, 2018
Chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews and it didn't disappoint. Rooms were very comfortable, plenty of room for a family of 4 comfy beds and good decor. As mentioned in reviews, bathrooms a little dated however, they were spotless and had no problem with it. Breakfast was a great hit, ignore the negativity it doesn't pretend to be a high end restaurant. Think of it as a stocked kitchen and you are saving the price of breakfast everyday. Great location, walking distance to Times Square, Macy's and many great little restaurants/ shops close by. Will stay there next time we go.

Nice hotel good location. Breakfast very limited to bread and donuts. Coffee available all day and a good bonus as no facilities in room for a brew. Clean and friendly helpful staff. Would recommend this hotel. Great views of Empire State and lovely restaurant opposite. Very hflpful concierge

Hi Thanks for sharing your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to do so. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We apologize if we did not meet your expectations for breakfast but we offer exactly what we advertise. We provide an American continental breakfast consisting of Starbucks coffee, Lipton tea, apple and orange juices, hot chocolate, assorted danish, croissants, muffins, donuts and bagels with cream cheese and jellies. We do not have a food or beverage outlet on property and have the pastries delivered fresh each day as we are only a 69 room boutique hotel. It is complimentary so there is no cost to any guests and an amenity that most hotels do not offer. Thank you for your business and we hope to see you back with us again. Have a nice day!

Great price and awesome location.

Posted Apr 7, 2018
The price was unbeatable for the area. The rooms were clean and the staff were very helpful. There was a very small complementary breakfast with very, very limited options. My biggest complaint would be that there was construction going on during the entire time we were there. I'm talking serious construction, jackhammers going all morning so we couldn't sleep in at all!!! Just make sure you ask if any construction will be going on before you book.

Hi Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We apologize for any inconvenience as there was temporary construction going on with the building next door but they didn't start working before 930 AM and were done by 4-430 PM each day. Unfortunately that is outside our control but again apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have you back with us again. Have a nice day!

Great place to stay in NYC!

Posted Apr 7, 2018
The room was an excellent size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate with plenty of bread items and fruit. The Starbucks coffee throughout the day was a big plus! Anthony, the concierge, was awesome and extremely helpful for restaurants, tickets, etc. One evening we returned to the hotel and my kids wanted hot chocolate, and the front desk said they would get the kids some packets. Unfortunately, they could not find the packets but went to the nearest Starbucks and bought my kids some hot chocolate! Above and beyond service! Location is also great!

Tried different NYC hotels, but keep coming back

Posted Apr 3, 2018
Pros: Smaller hotel in a great location, and the staff is the best thing about it.
Cons: A bottled water option in the vending machines. Keep the diet coke, but get rid of the diet pepsi in exchange for a bottled water.
Location: GREAT location in the flatiron district, restaurants, parks, stores, interests all in a short walk. Plus easy to get a cab right outside.
The Broadway Plaza has been our go-to NYC hotel for about 15 years for our 2x a year trip to NYC. It has a lot of reasons we keep coming back; great location, excellent prices, rooms are good with nice size (compared to other NYC hotels in similar older buildings). 24 hour coffee, complimentary continental breakfast gets you a good start to your day. Rooms are squeaky clean, EVEN THE AIR CONDITIONER FILTER! I always check AC filters since I have asthma. Plenty of towels and pillows. Relaxing updated room decor. But the main reason we keep going back is the staff. Every single one of them goes out of their way to take care of anything you need. If you arrive in the city before check-in time, they'll watch your bags while you start browsing the city. The same after check-out, so you can checkout, leave your bags, go get lunch, then pick up your bags to depart. There's always a doorman to greet you, help you get in and out, grab a cab, or help with questions. Room cleaning crews are very accommodating and you can tell they value their work. Desk personnel are friendly. They address issues fast, and even the hotel manager is available for bigger problems. This last trip, the elevator malfunctioned (elevators do that) and the manager was there in 5 minutes to oversee it until it was resolved. So even though we have tried other hotels now and then, we keep coming back to the Broadway Plaza.

For the money...

Posted Apr 2, 2018
Nothing really negative about this spot. There's nothing over the top either. Staff is friendly, rooms are a little dated but they were clean. There is a free carb heavy "breakfast" every morning in a small galley on the 7th floor. There is free Starbucks brand coffee available all day also. If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton then look elsewhere, but if you want a clean, affordable, efficient stay then this is your place.

Hi Chuck; Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We are a solid 3 1//2 star hotel and were a bit surprised by your comments. The guest rooms are very modern and were renovated last in March 2016 so not sure why you thought them dated but apologize if it did not meet your expectations. Our pictures are extremely accurate and a true reflection of our rooms. If you were looking at the Ritz Carlton you would have seen that you would have paid twice the price. Thank you for your business. We hope to see you again.

Great Location, Okay Room

Posted Mar 27, 2018
Pros: It was clean and is in a great location.
Cons: The door could be fixed.
Location: There's a small park nearby, restaurants, cafes, and subway stations.
Hotel is in a great location. Close to the subway station and flat iron building. Has many restaurants near by for all kinds of meals. The room was clean, but the shape of our room was a little unusual, which is not bad. The shower was really small. The door was hard to open, which made things difficult when we wanted to leave the room.

Hi Thank you for your comments and business. We wish you had mentioned something while in house as we would have sent the maintenance department to address the door issue. Many people request that room type specifically due to the shape as the beds are on different walls versus being side by side, offering a bit more privacy. We hope to have you back with us again. Thank you.
