Despite rough first impression, decent in the end

We switched rooms immediately because the toilet wouldn't flush, the room had a faint musty smell and the sofa cushion was torn. The staff was friendly and the trade of rooms was easy. The furniture in the stairwell and the rooms looked a little worn, and the lemon-infused water tasted more like artificial lemon flavoring than fresh (nor were the any fresh lemons slices floating in the "lemon-infused" water cooler). The free water bottles and Sun Chips on game day was very appreciated. The hotel was decent, but I expected better based on the reviews I read ahead of time. I'd probably stay here again if the price is right, but the condition of the property was the biggest reason I'd consider another hotel over this one the next time around.
