Terrible motel not worth the stay

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Get polite staff and also work on getting and keeping return guests. I have stayed in this motel on numerous occasions when traveling to this area
Motel was dirty and the staff that we dealt with was so rude. The whole story is this. There were 5 couples that booked this motel for the Annual Fort Riley Turkey Run. 4 out of the five of us got checked in without to much trouble but the 5th couple they said that they did not have a reservation. The clerk was down right rude to them. Told them that the motel was full and that they would have to go somewhere else. The reservations were all done at least 2 months in advance. Luckily they got into the motel right next door at the same rate they would have paid at this motel once they told them what had happened. They also told them to invite all of us other couples over there for breakfast the next morning. I know that I will not stay in this motel again.

Location: Vacant and boarded building near by. Busy street on circle. Close to McDonalds, but no other amenities. Older motel, hard to keep up cosmetically.
She didn't know which room was clean and available. The first was still occupied with unmade beds, towels, clothing all over and suitcases on bed. Second was uncleaned, dirty linen, towels, etc. Third was OK, pretty clean, fairly quiet. 4 man police swat team on balcony above until after 10 PM, no raid per cop, just meeting?? Didn't stay for breakfast.

Pros: The price.
Cons: Everything. Many broken or unrepaired things in room. Smoke odor was bad.
Location: Close to I-70, Manhattan, KS and McDonalds
Didn't expect much for the low price. Didn't get much. Room was clean but sink wouldn't drain, shower curtain rod was broke, one of the beds would lean if you rolled to one side, non-smoking room but stunk badly of cigarette smoke, and bathroom door had been broke like it had been kicked in. Other than that it was ok.

Well priced, clean rooms, enjoyed our stay here. a few small things would have made the room a bit better, door to my room appeared to have experienced and break-in attempt, they were loose, and sloppy. Bathroom door wouldn't shut, and toilet seat was broke.

Overall the motel was comfortable to sleep in. The room is in need of updating carpet was worn in front of the door and it looks like the bathroom needs updating also. Was frustatrated that the check in was at 3:00 not 2:00. Couldn't go to Manhattan until checking was done.

Pros: Easily accessible to my vehicle, for loading and unloading.
Cons: N/A
Location: Located off the interstate with typical fast food restaurants nearby. We were staying there to be close to K State University for the football game.
The lady at the check in was very nice and fixed the error Expedia had made making sure we had a ground floor room. I was assured by Expedia that there would be no problem with my request and they hadn't let the hotel know I had to had this accommodation. However, the error was fixed and our stay was enjoyable.

Near I-70, but bad parking, outdoor access to room

Pros: The price was reasonable, and the location was good. The room, once we finally got in was clean.
Cons: The check in time was ridiculous, it took over 30 mins. The parking is not adequate for the amount of rooms, and room access is all outdoors.
Location: We were just in the area for a nearby wedding, but the motel is located near access to I-70.
It took nearly 30-40 mins. just to check in, and we had registered on line. We were told check-in was after 3:00, we arrived at 3:15, but our room was still not ready. The clerk went to check on the room while we waited in the lobby, when she returned she said she would have to change our room, because "there was a stove in the room"??? So we continued to wait until she could figure out how to change it on the computer. While waiting another couple came in because their access key card would not work on their door...this was the second card they had tried. Our room was located on the second floor of the motel, the backside of the motel, where there is NO PARKING. we had to park on the front side and walk up the outside staircase to the backside. When we got to our room, the door was open, and there was dirty laundry piled on the beds. The room had been cleaned, but the laundry had been left on top of the clean sheets. We had to find the cleaning service to come and get the laundry, we could not call the lobby, as the phone did not work. We were VERY frustrated by this time.
