Pros: The staff.. the hotel staff were very professional, well mannered and very accomodating. The security of the hotel as well made us feel safe there.
Location: right across the hotel is shopping malls and a museum a block away all within walking distance.
staying in the junior suite gave us personal privilage to the 17th floor were we were able to enjoy quite breakfast and meditation in the sitting room.

Good Location

Close to the malls, great staff. Bathroom a little small, shower head needed replacing, other than that, nice place.

Best hotel in Manila

We love this hotel! Everything was perfect. There was a new paint smell on our floor, nothing to really complain about. The breakfast is amazing and security is tight. You feel really safe there. Also the neighborhood has lots of shopping and nice places to eat. Very close to the airport as well. The hotel offeres an airport shuttle for 1,000 peso ($20) or you can take a metered taxi for 200 peso ($4). We stayed here a couple of times before and we really love the swimming pool as well. They have very nice live entertainment as well in the evenings. The rooms are very clean and have everything you need. We will try to stay here again later this year. Book here if you want VIP treatment for a reasonable price. One thing that would be nice if if they had an ATM machine in the hotel, but there is one very close by across the street. The welcome fruit was nice. They have a very nice coffee and tea selection in the room, and complementary water. There are six elevators, so the wait time is very fast. They also have a nice selection of beers at the bar. The bar snacks are yummy too. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Check in and out was a breeze. I don't know what else to say except that you won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Make sure you insist on one of the renovated rooms at check-in because they are much nicer.

i cancelled my hotel reservation at manila hotel and made a reservation at dusit thani because of a function at the hotel ballroom. As i checked in the hotel, there is a pubic hair on the welcome letter. they transferred to an older room instead of upgrading.

Excellent location BUT......

Not happy with my very first and recent stay at this hotel. We had a really bad experience with the toilet overflowing 2x. The room was old, looks and smells old even the furniture are old. I'm surprised this hotel was rated 4.5 stars - certainly not with their unrenovated room, sliding closet doors almost coming off, carpet was just really old to name a few. Even with the toilet overflowing, they still didn't offer to move without me requesting for it.

FLOOR TILES IRRITATES YOUR EYES

Pros: its convenient when you go shopping
Cons: bathroom and appliances inside the room I think its been there for more than 20 years. Floor tiles in the lobby irritates your eyes.
Location: Perfect gateaway
The hotel was nice, staff are accommodating, the room is ok but needs upgrading bathroom is small. The worst part was the floor of the entrance area it irritates your eyes when you walk to the restaurant or to the reception your a bit wobbly because of the floor its too shiny and the color of the tiles so bright. But everything was ok

Never Again.

Dusit Thani Manila was always my first choice of hotel when in Manila. I've stayed at this particular hotel about 3-5 times in the last 3 years. This last stay has been very disappointing. The experience in hotel pick up and checking in was great – until I was shown the room. The room I got this time was not refurbished and was very old. The window frames were dusty and the carpet was had stains. The Room (747) also had an odd smell, it was overpowering. The smell reminded me of shoe or nail polish. I called reception and told them the issue and that I'd prefer to be moved to another room...The solution they gave me was to send someone up to spray air freshener on the carpets – there was no call back to see if I was happy and when I called guess services again - there was no answer. I ended up having a severe headache all night. The next day... I went down to The Pantry to have lunch. I was greeted by a friendly staff and shown to my table where I sat for at least 40 minutes waiting to be served. No one came, the staff were more attentive to non-filipino looking foreigners. So I left angry, disappointed and hungry.

Great location

Hotel staff were great, breakfast buffet excellent. Construction smell in hallway , other than that was a great stay. Will stay here again!
