Home away from homePosted Nov 6, 2015
Spent 10 nights in this lovely hotel although it wasn't perfect but I would still come back. Rooms were clean my only problem were 2 things, first room I checked in I was roused from my sleep to the construction noise so I requested for a room change and they immediately obliged. New room opposite site of construction was fine and noise was barely heard. New problem was the AC it was really cold at the minimal setting called them again and it was fixed . This place really focused on customer satisfaction and staff would go out of their way fro customer satisfaction and that got me. The staff is customer oriented and courteous . I was extremely pleased with our floor coordinator Cris , he went over and above to satisfy our room needs. Overall, a very pleasant stay and highly recommend.

Trip to hell trip to hell for me !Posted Oct 30, 2015
Hotel lacked a lot of amities , no shuttle, Beautiful dining room with exquisite food, but a is right next to a smoking bar that's adjoining to a smoking bar that the smoke goes into the restaurant, and the food you can taste the smoke , mentioned to them that ideally they should have a smoking bar away from a fine dining area that they have I recommend their food but unfortunately when the food taste smoky , you get turned off ? I only use your dining room because of the smoke that lingers in the room and on the food when I got a room I asked for I floor they only gave me up to 11 floor ? I had to provide a confirmation from Expedia to them for some reason I wasn't on their confirmation list , they only gave me two complementary bottles of water a day knowing the fact that I don't drink tapwater they were not very generous when you asked for more , Btls filliea food list which I thought was really nice that you would order your food and they would deliver the groceries upgraded my room that room that had cooking facilities , waited for days with no food delivered , when I question them then they realize that somebody screwed up , I told them I paid a higher-priced room , so I can cook problems with the front door not closing properly the shower door leaking had to put a strip. cell phone not working and as far as cleanliness we found cockroaches ,and we did reported on checking out !bloody sheets 5 times after they clean the room we had the phone for clean new ones

Clean, big room, but it would be great if there was a bathtub.

Weakest Airconditioner of all the hotels I stayedPosted Sep 26, 2015
This hotel has an extremely weak airconditioner, that I was trying to borrow an electric fan to be comfortable. Engineering says it's really like that and that all rooms are the same !!!!!. I have to cut my stay to 1 day from 3 as I can't tolerate the room condition.

Stay at the Linden Suites insteadPosted Sep 24, 2015
There is construction going on across the street, making any relaxation time in the pool/spa non existent. The spa maintained only a mildly warm temperature. Had to change rooms after first time from the construction noise, they allowed it which was good. The second room was much more quiet. The shower though... lacked any sort of pressure and the cold water didn't work, so the shower did get hot... too hot. The bed, at first I thought it was just lumps in the bedding itself. But it turned out that it was the springs poking into my rib cage and I ended up with a couple of bruised ribs from sleeping on my side. If you need to stay in the area, I'd stay at the Linden Suites instead. If hot tub was hot, construction stopped, and new beds put in, it'd be a fantastic hotel.

Ultimate 5-star hotelPosted Sep 19, 2015
Oakwood in Manila is definitely one of the best hotels I have ever experienced in traveling. The staff is amazingly trained toward customer satisfaction. Very clean, wonderful kitchen amenities, very modern for wifi and all the various tech advantages, completely secure and safe. Ideal for any traveler, especially American or European clientele. It began with the airport shuttle driver permitting me to use his phone to txt my fiance because my phone did not get wifi. Front desk and management were exceptional. Even dishes which I had yet to clean, the cleaning lady had done while I was away. Even staff members that were not directly connected with customer service always accommodated with complete professionalism. Delivery of wine opener and specific cutting knives took only a few minutes. Other business travelers praised the facilities. Anytime I stay in Manila, or any city they are located, I will definitely choose Oakwood. Thank you for enhancing a memorable trip to Manila.

Good value for a two bedroom suitePosted Aug 31, 2015
The 2 bedroom suite was spacious, clean, well appointed. The pool was quite nice. What they designated as the "Kids' Playroom" was more like a dumping ground for furniture they weren't using, but at least it was kept tidy. My toddler found it sufficient for his enjoyment, albeit in very short increments given the limited number of toys in the room. The hotel is located within walking distance of several malls, so it was convenient. The staff were nice but a bit stingy when it came to replenishing consumables (e.g., disposable toothbrush, shower cap, etc.).
