Hospitality is superb

I had great expectation when i travelling to the philippines and it didnt dissapoint me at all.the filipino are known for their hospitality and good service. From the time i step in till the day i leave. It's leave me with good experience.the pool is rather small but at least the people are friendly

Hotel with Good Location in Central Manila

Pros: Good location, some very good staff people, and the food is pretty good.
Cons: Better coordination among the departments and contractors...as well as among the staff in the various departments to ensure a high quality experience.
Location: About a long block or so away from Robinson Mall for shopping...and a few blocks from Manila Bay (Roxas Boulevard) where one can access other sites.
Our introduction got off to a rocky start when the hotel's airport agent was not there to greet us upon arrival at Manila Airport and were unable to call the hotel as the telephone lines at the hotel were non-operative. Once the government tourist agent was able to assist us in locating the hotel's airport agent, we arrived at the hotel to have to wait in line to register into our room. Once in our upgraded room, the experience began to improve with a nice room with a view of Manila Bay. During our stay, our experience in the Pacific Lounge (21st floor) for meals and beverages were great...as well as the lobby cafe. The concierge did a good job...but communications between the concierge and the hotel taxi contractor did not always go over well...and a trip to Lucky Chinatown for lunch becoming an ordeal as the driver just dropped us off and we had to contact the hotel concierge to have the driver take us to the recommended restaurant. Also, the housekeeping department at times worked very well...other times not so well as the time I had to have the staff go find my shoes that I sent down for complementary shoe shining. In all, a nice hotel in a good location...but needs better coordination among the team of butlers and contractors to really make the place a world class hotel.

Great hotel in Manila

The hotel was in a great location. Facilities and rooms were beautiful, clean, and addressed all your needs. The staff was very friendly, and attended to all of our needs very quickly and effectively.

Excellent hotel staff

Pros: Beautiful hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Delicious meals. Extraordinary service by all of the friendly hotel staff.
Cons: Location. Crowded street filled with cheap vendors, beggars and nighttime thiefs. Two roosters from nearby residences were annoying
Location: A few blocks from the US Embassy. The Robbinson mall was quite nice, which included some restaurants and shops in USA.
Although the hotel was impeccable, the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff was consistently outstanding. This was my first trip to the Philippines and I was happy to book two rooms at this 5 star hotel.

A pillow menu, nice bedding and great care to carpet and all finishes in the room differentiate it from Diamond and Manila hotel.

Our Favorite Manila Hotel

Cons: Garden Design and Ventilation of toxic smells in elevator and 7th floor remodel areas.
See our earlier reviews for more detail. I am a designer who enjoys fine service and great design. Pan Pacific delivers both with a personal touch unrivaled at other hotels we have visited. Be sure and communicate any special needs.

Our Favorite Hotel

Pros: The espresso maker makes a great cup.
Cons: Ventilation in corridor. Varnish is very toxic in poorly ventilated areas.
