Sofitel Hotel Manila Room 959

Posted Mar 29, 2017
Floors 10 and 11 carpets and modern room upgrades are reserved for their selected guests. Did not receive complimentary drink upon arrival. Dinner for 2 in the all you can eat Spiral International Buffet is $68 per person. There is a BBQ every Friday and Saturday outside next to swim pool $54 per person. Very classy luxury hotel. A one time nice experience overall. Will stay elsewhere next time I'm Manila.

Location is good for conventions

Posted Mar 26, 2017
Pros: close to convention center and airport
Cons: see above
Location: remote location need taxi to go anywhere.
Hotel not far from airport in newly developed area of Manila; premises outdated and desperately need upgrading. carpets smelly, molds in bathroom(corners black and brown due to lack of proper cleaning) Sometimes urine-smell in room and corridor. Minimal amenities, no bath/room slippers, only 1 towel! It is not up to guest to ask for them, they should be there. Staff well trained and friendly. Breakfast excessively expensive: US$ 30 for some fried eggs, bowl of muesli, juice and coffee! Nowhere in world I paid so much for so little in 5 star hotel. Places for breakfast can only reached by taxi.

largest 2-star hotel in Manila

Posted Mar 25, 2017
Hotel is crowded and staff treat hotel guests like day pass holders. The hotel gives you that 'theme park' feel where its "you can't do this" "not allowed". This hotel is probably the largest 2-star hotel in the country.

Nice Hotel by the water

Posted Mar 8, 2017
Pros: comfortable, great staff and a good location
Cons: We ordered a taxi from the hotel but they dropped us off at the wrong location. This meant we needed to get a second taxi to get to the right place
Location: The hotel has a free shuttle bus to the Mall of Asia which was great. It's also close to the water so it was great to sit by the pool and see the sea
We had a great stay at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was amazing and also ended up paying the additional fee to have the happy hour cocktails in the evening which was great. All the staff were very friendly and helpful
