Booked the room through Hotels.com. We had 5 people in the room- 3 adults and 2 teenagers. The room stated 2 queen beds and a couch, so room for 5. I also requested accessible if available. I was contacted by AmericInn by Wyndham Mankato Event Center sent you a message:
Hi Patricia, our rooms with 2 queen beds do not have accessible bathrooms in them. All of my accessible rooms are booked for the night of 11/24. However, there is a guest coming in that booked a single queen accessible room. I could possibly reach out to him and see if he is willing to change room types. Would you like me to do that?
I answered:No- we have 5 people- a single queen bed will not be enough! The accessibility issue won't be as big a deal- we will just help him if he needs to take a shower. Forgot to request a rollaway cot- would that still be possible? Thanks for the offer of a potential change. Hotel: Unfortunately, we do not have any rollaways either. I am going to room assign you to a double queen that’s bigger than most. Just in case you decide to bring an air mattress. We do have a foam mattress topper (it’s pretty comfortable) that we could lay on the ground if you think that would be helpful? Me:That would be great, thank you!
When we arrived, there was a large 2 queen room with no couch, no rooms that would fit 5 people, no extra mattress to put on the floor and when we asked about options, they could have put us in adjoining rooms for another $125- no big discount (our room was $135).
