A satisfactory hotel, which seems reasonably well-run but needs a revamp. There's no air conditioning in the rooms, although the windows do open wide and a fan is also provided.

The staff was amazing. Hotel was very nice. Internet was fantastic. At city center, strassebahn 2 streets away. Walking distance from many museums.

Great hotel, great staff.

Check-in went smoothly, staff spoke fluent English. Room was perfect. It was a very hot day so although I was slightly disappointed to find no air-con in the room, I was happy I could open the window wide and had a lovely view of the city's rooftops from the fifth floor. Everything else about the room was perfect. I was alone and was unsure where to go or what to do in the area so I spent most of the night at the hotel bar, which was nice and quiet and gave me a chance to have a conversation with the hotel reception/bar staff which made my visit enoyable. If I am ever back in Mannheim I will definitely be using this hotel.

How this Mannheim hotel can be an US franchise?

Pros: Honestly, NOTHING was good there
Cons: E V E R Y T H I N G. Hotel needs a big improvement. It is receiving many passengers but they don't really care. They know nobody will return
Location: Inserted in a deep Middle East neighborhood with police presence (meaning it could be dangerous), poor area of the quartet district in Mannheim
Even, after reading bad feedbacks, I decided to give a chance to a very good hotel name in America where I have never had any issue, so I booked a week in this hotel in Mannheim, Germany (one hour south of Frankfurt), a trip strictly for business reasons. The first thing concerned to me was the fact that only one of the three entrances of the hotel was opened. The rest were abandoned and marked with graffiti. The room was one of their classification about big enough but all the walls were dirty, the place looked filthy and the bed was very worn, so terrible night. So next morning I went to complain about that and the excused and told me that the business room I should receive, it much better. FALSE. It as a rat hole in a completely dark room, filthy also with dirty walls, kitchen-smell and the door of the bathroom hit the sink among no English channels and an expensive breakfast with hot items (coffee, bread and juice). Simply terrible experience.

Nice hotel with a great location

Pros: The location is great (see below), and the staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs.
Cons: There was no fridge in the room, although it seemed that there had been one earlier. Also, there is no A/C (not an issue for us in April, but...).
Location: The location is great: it is two blocks from the Marktplatz, with a tram stop, many restaurants, etc., and an open air farmers' market many days.
We (me, my wife, and daughter) stayed at the hotel for 6 nights while visiting my son who is studying at the Universitat Mannheim.

Manneheim Stay

Pros: Staff and location
Cons: electrical system seemed old. I couldn't connect a 110 electrical strip to the 220 convertor
Location: Central to the main shopping and dinning areas.
Very friendly staff especially my friend Sam at the front desk. I thought the rooms were nice and exactly what I needed. It was centralized to the main area. Thank you!

Great experience

Just a normal experience staying at a hotel. Until the morning of checkout. Went down to feed the parking meter to discover my headlight were left on over night and my vehicle was dead. After looking for a service to jump start my vehicle. I went to the front desk asked if they knew anyone. The manager promptly said she would call the hotel maintenance personnel and ask. They came back to say they have vehicle leads and will just jumpstart it for me. They drove me to my car and jumped it successfully. And recommended that I stop at a service center and get a new battery. Great costomer service. Even outside of the standard hotel amenities.

One of the better hotels in europe for the price. I'm a marriott girl in the US but it was a 2 week vacation and that would have been very expensive. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Water, tea, and fruit available without charge in the lobby. Great market a few days a week down the road. Convenient to stores and the tram. Friendly staff.
