Received a call this morning stating that they weren’t going to be able to give me a room due to plumbing issues. She told me she called the Super 8 hotel to try to find a room, but told her that I would not stay there because it is not very nice. Told her that I wanted to cancel but she told me that she would call me back to see if she can do anything to help. Never got a phone call back so I called the hotel. Tonight I was told that my card was charged for the room. I was told tonight that they were going to try to move some people around (thought it was sold out). I already changed my plans and came that way for just a few hours without bags. Very frustrated that I now have to pay for a room and that there was no communication from the hotel

We have allergies. After I placed my hand on top the furniture incasing the mini fridge it was snowing. It was some really thick dust balls. I had to wash my hands afterwards. We started sneezing afterwards. We didn't like that the washers & dryer was broken. Besides those problems it was a comfortable stay.

Good property and friendly staff, but my stay meh
Good property, convenient location within walking distance of Mt Vernon central square, restaurants, brew pub etc., helpful staff and easy parking. My stay wasn’t great though - room smelled like smoke, sheets were humid from likely not cooling the room for a long time prior, and the AC was noisy. I’d go back but it wouldn’t be my first choice I’m afraid to say. That’s unfortunate because the staff was really nice and the place others kept sharp and clean. Maybe it was just a fluke with my stay.

Check-in was excellent. Efficient and friendly. Room was clean and well appointed with convenient amenities. The bed may’ve been a bit high, making it tricky to get in or out of, especially during the night. Street sounds were loud. The reception clerk was very helpful and delightful to speak to.

Hotel recently remodeled. Everything appeared new in the room. Bed was comfy and sheets soft. Breakfast was good. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, bagels, yogurt, fruit. Nice assortment of food.

We asked for a roll away bed. Either you have one or you don’t. The response we got was “ I don’t know”. We called down to the desk…”I don’t know “ Finally we gave up and asked for extra blankets. They acted very inconvenienced and told us to come get them. But, the floor bed was just as comfortable as the beds. Rock hard! But, the rooms were very clean.

With regards to having to come down for extra blankets I do apologize we do not have the staff on shift to deliver bedding to guest rooms our front desk clerks are required to stay close to the front desk they can not go to guest rooms for their safety. With regards to the mattress being hard all of our mattresses are brand new that would explain that they are going to feel like that for a while because they are only a couple of months old.We do hope that the next time you are in the Mount Vernon area you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a more satisfactory stay.Best Regards,Your Comfort Inn Staff

The staff at this property was very friendly. We had an issue where my reservation was changed from two queen beds to a king bed. The staff was able to get us a two queen bed room with no trouble. This property is right off the bike path and as such it was super convenient for us.
