Romantic, secluded cottagePosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The appearance and the serenity of the environment.
Cons: The welcome lodge was dark and unappealing. Opposite of how adorable the cottages are.
Location: Downtown Mansfield. The Shawshank Trail was fun.
The cottage was quaint. I loved the patio that overlooked the grounds. It was very peaceful, very serene. Well worth the money.

The place was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Spruce Hill offers a great stay for a good price.

Mohican endurance festivalPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Quiet. Beautiful setting. Close to our venue. Well priced for the amenities.
Wonderful little place to stay for the event we were racing in nearby mohican state park. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Clean and well kept. Very comfy bed. Functional kitchen in our little cottage worked out great for preparing our night before the race meal.

Hidden Treasure!Posted Jul 27, 2011
We were hesitant to book this room due to another comment online saying they would not go back. My husband pointed out that this would have been the forth visit by that user and really who would go back three times previously if it was a bad experience?? They were really upset because they canceled plans and was charged a fee – clearly that happens with any hotel chain and should be expected if you cancel so we decided to try it and we were pleasantly surprised! The location was peaceful and the surroundings were beautiful! We even enjoyed the short drive. My husband can be grumpy so when we arrived to discover the power was out I thought that would ruin any chance of a good stay but it didnt. Our service was exceptional - we were greeted with a smile even with the power out we were able to check in and unload our luggage. The power was out in the surrounding three cities due to the heat and A/C demand but when we returned the power was on and our room was ready and waiting on us. I would say that this is not a modern “luxury” hotel however it certainly stands proudly with country charm and unique views. We will be back!
