"Wonderful beach side hotel with exceptional servic"
We spent 3 wonderful nights of our honeymoon at this fabulous hotel. We loved everything about this hotel. The location is right on the beach and the buildings are separated by lovely rain forest areas teaming with wildlife. We saw moneys playing in the trees each day, iguanas wondering around, sloths and other critters living in and around the property. It was amazing to experience. The beaches were uncrowded and beautiful. All the staff at this hotel went out of their way to make sure our stay was without a worry and relaxing. One of the owners was even kind enough to introduce himself and inform us of the amenities of the property and ask if these was anything he could do to enhance our stay. The food at both restaurants was excellant and our room was even better than we expected. We stayed a day longer than we had originally planned and were sad when we finally had to leave. We can't wait to go back, even if it won't be soon we will go back to this hotel. Two of the employees were kind enough to take us to see a slough as my wife really wanted to see one. Jose and Leonardo found one that we could view from about 8 feet away. It really mad my wife's stay complete.

"Gorgeous setting"
Really great high-end small scale Hotel. Very friendly staff. Most will find breakfast presentation a little odd. We got used to it. Recommend that morning coffee be upgraded somewhat. Coffee pods in Costa Rica in a 4.5 star resort is underachieving.

"A small jewel in Manuel Antonio"
This is a lovely small hotel with a tremendous attention to detail that's usually found at properties 3x the price. The first floor is an art gallery worth spending some time in. There are original painting, sculptures, indigenous artwork and ceramics; all well priced. The public spaces are lovely. There are two beautiful pools that face a jungle garden and a jacuzzi (although not heated) where you can watch the various birds, (we saw 2 macaws) and plenty of monkeys swinging about. There's an exceptional restaurant next door, (try any homemade pasta dish): they will provide drinks around the pool as well as room service. The suite we had was stunning, immaculate and spacious. The furnishing were more like an elegant home, with touches such as linen curtains, art glass lamps and gorgeous ceramics. We did have to ask for a hair dryer at the front desk but the entire staff, especially Jonathan were very helpful. The room also had a microwave, silverware, dishes, glasses and a refrigerator. We look forward to visiting again. Room Tip: one of the suites that are on the lowe

"not close to the beach. 2kms away"
friendly front desk staff. restaurant staff, not too friendly. Food at the restaurant wasn't the best part. too simple, not friendly service there. I called to kindly ask if they had room service to have breakfast at the room but they were like offended and not friendly, not kind. the swimming pool bathrooms weren't too clean. they looked like a forgotten area. there were 2 dirty jacuzzis by the pool area that didn't inspire confidence. the ocean view was ok. the rooms were nice. the parking lot for your carr is very small. they make you move your car back and forth, back and forth like 3 times until they feel comfortable. the room TV's too small for the decent size of the rooms

"Great location "
This hotel is a maze. We were first given a room in a no mans land part of the room. But when we pointed this out they changed our room to a beautiful room. Delicious food, extremely helpful staff, great location

"Wonderful place to stay in Costa Rica!"
Everything about this hotel resort was what we were looking for, except it was not directly on the beach, which was fine. The view of the Pacific was wonderful, and there were 4 different swimming pools on site. The trail to the beach was a little rough but not super long, and the beach itself was very secluded. We arrived a few days after a hurricane had come through so, we experienced rain almost every day. But with the air temperature in the low 80's a little rain was actually welcome. The resort was not just one tall hotel building but rather several shorter buildings (with one tall, but not overpowering building) built on the hillside and all were attached by outdoor walkways. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly- we went on the Manuel Antonio National Park tour and the Mangrove Tour. Use a tour guide if you do the Nt'l Park because they use scopes to spot all the wildlife. It was amazing! Excellent breakfast buffet every morning which is included in the price. And a good menu selection for lunch and dinners. There was wildlife all around: iguana, a resident sloth, monkeys, and beautiful birds and butterflies. On your way to or from the airport don't forget to stop at the 'crocodile bridge'. Park at the end of bridge and walk to the center where you can view dozens of huge crocs lazing below in the muddy banks of the river. (It's about an hour from the resort).

"All we expected and more!"
We loved So Como No! The terraced property makes use of the gorgeous tropical surroundings and beautiful view. The kiddos loved the pool and waterslide while we took advantage of the happy hour. Every single employee was courteous and friendly. We are already talking about going back.

"Nice hotel close to Manuel Antonio"
This was a nice hotel, if a little dated. Our A/C and fans did not work well. Hotel offered to move us, but we opted to stick it out. The food was good, and the service always helpful if not prompt. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

"Adults only private setting and lovely views "
We enjoyed our stay at Issimo and very happy to have found this little treasure among all the hotels in Costa Rica. Very private on a dead end street with a private beach within 10 minutes and another public tourist beach within a 20 minute walk with access to all of Manual Antonio tourist attractions. We loved our private road, the quiet peaceful area and the wildlife that we enjoyed everyday from our room deck and the restaurant and pool area. We had monkeys most every day visit the morning breakfast or around in the afternoon. Lizards sunning on the pool deck and the privacy of an adults only spa where we were the only ones in the pool and sometimes in the restaurant. We chose the end of the winter/rainy season which is a nice time because the high most days was 80 overcast and sun occasional sun but comfortable enough for those of us who are not used to extreme heat. We did the Nauyaka Waterfalls on horseback booked through Jade Tours (a really favorite experience for both of us and very easy 1 hour drive all arranged by Jade). The family fed us on the way up and on the way back with fabulous home prepared meals and while at their lovely campsite we had a toucan visit us and enjoyed the Macalls as well. We took the guided tour through Manual Antonio Wildlife Park and really loved the beaches you can only access via the park - the monkeys tried to take our stuff so be mindful of those little thieves but you will really enjoy the beautiful beaches inside the park.
