such a cool room

Posted Oct 4, 2017
Pros: room was fantastic, staff were so polite and helpful, some of the best I have ever experienced
Cons: nothing
Location: location is perfect for walking to most of the major attractions in Paris (museums, art galleries, restaurants) etc.
This is seriously one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was so helpful, friendly and couldnt have been more responsive to our needs. The room was incredible, we had a loft overlooking the charming front courtyard and we felt like we had our own small apartment in the heart of Paris, yet it was totally quiet and serene inside the courtyard. You can ask these guys anything and they are there for you. We got a recommendation for a restaurant in Venice (yes Venice) from one of the front desk staff and since they were great we decided to scout this hard to find gem out....well, once again, spot on, it was our favorite experience in Venice all the way from a recommendation in Paris the week before. Cant say enough about these folks...by all means, just stay there.

Hotel has genuine charm. & excellent staff

Posted Sep 1, 2017
Location: Nearby is Musee Picasso and Musee Carnavelet. The latter isclos d for renovation. Cool art galleries abound, also many cute shops.
The hotel was very good, with excellent service by the staff, particularly the concierges. One concierge secured a notary and facilitated transatlantic transit of a legal document on short notice to meet an important U.S. deadline. The location is excellent within the Marais and access to metro stations chemin vert and republique is a short walk to each. We stayed a week and were upgraded to a comfortable junior suite. Management appears first rate. The public rooms are attractive and the outside courtyard terrace is a quiet refuge from the throngs of tourists and Parisians passing through the Place des Vosges. I ding the hotel for two shortcomings., one of policy and one of design. The bathroom is poorly lit (hard to shave in the shadows) and the shower is just awkward, a narrow bathtub with a high step over and plastic shower curtains. The policy complaint is grossovercharging of the breakfast buffet at 35 euros. For 19 euros you could have coffee and a croissant, not bargain there. We ate at cafes on the square.

Best location in Paris

Posted Aug 4, 2017
The hotel is located on the Place des Voges, a beautiful square park in the Marais which is an ideal location for exploring Paris. It really is a picturesque hotel and if you spend time having breakfast or a drink in the courtyard out the front you'll see a steady stream of onlookers taking photos of the facade of the property. The property itself is excellent and worthy of a 5-star rating. Staff are great and the rooms are spacious for Paris. The gym and steam room are both wonderful additions. Couldn't recommend it more and will be back when I next venture to Paris.

Beautiful hotel, some detailed flaws.

Posted Jun 5, 2017
Pros: Staff welcoming and pleasant.
Cons: Room safe, bathroom scales.
Location:
Hotel safe didn't work. It was fixed but stopped working 2 days later. Bathroom scales didn't work. Despite this, a very pleasant hotel in a beautiful location.

Beautiful hotel in the best part of Paris.

Posted May 20, 2017
Fantastic staff, excellent breakfast, and a stunning building in an unsurpassed location. By the latest standards of international hotels the rooms may be a little small, the lift a little 'compact', the lighting a little low... but for class, charm, location, beauty and a sense of magic, La Pavillion de la Reine is the loveliest hotel in Paris.
