Nice resort with its own beach and 2 pools

We love staying at Hawk's Cay. I love that they have heir own little private beach/lagoon area. Main pool is beautiful, but when you want to get away from other people's kids, there is an adult pool as well. It's a little older but still really nice. My only complaint is that is that the menus have gone downhill. This used to be a foodie hotel and now the menus are typical bar food and not so appealing. We stayed here right before Hurricane Irma. We stayed 2 nights and were evacuated from the Keys on the third morning. It was still wonderful and hotel staff was accommodating. We will definitely return.

Perfect place for families

Overpriced, not so fancy, average place to stay

If you are looking for a beach vacation, you are better off to looking at other options. This resort may be a big turn off if you had pictured yourself stepping out of your room to a nice sand beach. Apart from paying a hefty room price, be prepared to part ways with other pricey resort fees ranging close to above/around 80 US dollars. The unit that we booked for US$ 325 including taxes a night, cost us well over 1200 dollars in the end. The hotel doesn't even offer you a water bottle upon arrival in the room. The breakfast rate was probably around 40 dollars or more per person. So be prepared to part ways with a hefty amount if you are planning to eat at the resort. All other services are pricey. There are a lot of other, better options available. So do your homework. Needed to check out a day earlier, but the hotel won't accept a reduced penalty etc whatsoever. Completely inflexible. I for one probably won't go back. Disappointed with the service and the resort quality.

Wonderful staff, very clean great service.

When we got there at 4 p.m. my room wasn't ready. It took an hour for us to go to our room. They gave us a late check out to make up for the time we lost. The staff is very friendly and nice. The room and hotel itself was very clean. The bars were great. I enjoyed the pools and the beach. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Great for a family

Everything was amazing, room, staff only one chubby white old lady at front desk really unprofessional we ask her to stay a little late and she was very rude why have the night shift a person that is tired in this life specially at that position, then the lady from Peru amazing, the other lady's at front desk during the day also amazing, tiki bar, waitress, staff around, at the restaurants, pool, activities staff, the white old driver at night for the shuttle unbelibable nice showing us everything around, great experience, only thing don't order quesadillas please thank you

Unreal Experience

Location: Everything is right on the resort
Found this hotel on Expedia and so glad we booked it. Got a villa room that was unreal. Beautiful full kitchen, great living room with pull out couch bed and tv, great bedrooms upstairs with great views, 3 bathrooms, and the mini pool and patio in the back with a amazing view of the plants and canal. Definitely coming back for sure. Staff is super friendly and welcoming.

It is my first time in a cold shower. I waited for so long yet it never turned warm while I was showering. I had to call the front desk close to 7 am to check on it. I think that's the last thing one has to worry about while showering.
