“The staff are nice as can be and the room was a good size, but travelers should know this is a noisy, dark, old roadside motel. The walls and doors are thin, the bathroom wall had been treated for mold multiple times (and still had a dripping sound behind it), the floor was sticky, and a single window per room, the place was just dark. ”

“What a wonderful place to stay. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. We were able to sit outside at night and see the stars so clearly. The views are amazing and I would recommend High Frontier to anyone wanting to stay in the Fort Davis area.”

“Door was not easy to lock with doorknob lock and that was an issue since there was no deadbolt. No person at location for check in. It took a trip across town to get a room key from the desk guy of another hotel.
Rustic is the vibe they were shooting for, but I would just call the overall condition old and tired. Expedia would not let me post the picture I took of the chair in the room that looked more like a refugee from a landfill that a piece of hotel furniture.”
