Poor service, beautiful grounds

Pros: It is gorgeous, with a Georgian White House appearance, beautiful golf course view of the mountains from our room, very pretty lobby, nice atmosphere,
Cons: The staff's service and the restaurant's service, the pool and hot tub's maintenance.
The check in person accidentally checked out another person a day early because they both have the same last name, and so the party was locked out of their room upon arriving late. This was stressful and scary because they said they were sold out, but I had already reserved four rooms on Expedia in advance, so the rooms were already reserved for me. Thank God that the room was still available with all of their belongings still intact inside. It was frightening and stressful. They were unapologetic as well. When we tried to use the hot tub, they rudely said it was closed when it was still 15 minutes until closing, not telling us that it was actually closed due to renovations. When we went to look at it, it was empty of water and the pool was dirty and had leaves in it and was not maintained. Very unacceptable, especially for summertime. The staff could have politely explained that the hot tub was closed for renovations, but they seem to not care because they have a monopoly at this moment in Marietta. I hope someone opens up a competing brand new hotel that everybody will want to stay in, so that Marietta will improve their business and service mentality.

This hotel is VERY close to the Marietta square with lots of great places to eat and fun stuff to do.

It's a great hotel I love it, has a very classy look to it , really like the entrance way it looks very presidential but the only thing is the location is what bothers me but overall I enjoyed my stay and would come back again

Security Deposit a nuisance

We rented 3 rooms, and when we got home we noticed (without telling us) that the charged an extra $50 charge per room on our credit card, which we had to follow up on, and it did not go away for 3 days. Never do I want to have to remember to follow up on a hotel action, especially when they already had my credit card number and the extra $50 temporary charge was just something else to worry about after returning home. This system is bad PR for Hilton, and will be remembered. Bad taste in our mouths.

Ordered room service for breakfast and only received 1 time and coffee cups were not replaced daily
