Nice hotel at start of Hwy 1Posted Nov 18, 2015
Pros: Location, reasonable price and a comfortable clean room
Cons: Landings outside the rooms could do with some repair.
Location: Excellent jumping off point to drive up Hwy 1. Great but slow - allow 6 hours to Ft Bragg. The grocery store in Valley Ford is well worth a visit.
The hotel was easy to find and had good parking. The exterior was a bit rough but the room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was ok. It helped having a room at the back which was much quieter than rooms at the front.

Great hotel for the price you pay.Posted Nov 14, 2015
Pros: Decent breakfast
Staying here during business travel. A lot. If you are simply looking for a place to sleep, don't look any farther.

Location: Close to SF.
This is a very nice motel, clean, close to the city. Just what we needed for our trip. They even accommodated our request for a place to park our motorhome. Thank you!

Comfy bed and easy access to the trails!Posted Oct 31, 2015
Pros: Sheets and bathroom were clean.
Cons: Usually the switch would be somewhere next to the door after you walk in. But the light switch was located at a weird spot, across the room.
Location: Near the trails for biking/walking, and the freeway,
My husband has lower back pain and he was quite happy with the bed.

You get what you pay forPosted Oct 19, 2015
staff was not very pleasant to deal with and seemed to be in a bad mood. Checkout took a long time as staff was not available to check out in the morning. The room seemed clean but had dirty walls, broken bathroom doorknob, among other things. It seems the rooms receive little maintenance to at least give the appearance of being kept in decent shape.

Good for the price and area.Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: location, price
Cons: Better house keeping, sweep and mop the floor daily!
Arrived at hotel, and was given a room on the second floor, which was good. Upon entering the room it was quite warm, NO AIRCONDITIONING! Called desk, and they were very accomodating, moved us to another room. This was the room in the pictures! It was updated and looked a lot nicer, and we were able to be cool! Housekeeping did not come in and clean, just took towels and left new ones, also made bed, but not clean sheets! We were there for 4 nights, the foor was never cleaned. It was a good location easy to get to places.

OutstandingPosted Oct 15, 2015
I was staying in the newly remodeled side of the hotel. Was outstanding. I stayed at HYATT in Sacramento and loved it as much as this one. I was told that by November the rest of the rooms will be remodeled, defenetly will stay there again. The only thing I would like to see is entrance to the second level from front right side, since right now there I's only one in the middle and in the back so kind of have to do a circle. Also for breakfast some egg and sausage :)

Shoddy upgrades but a comfortable roomPosted Oct 12, 2015
The room and facilities have a lot of potential, however all upgrades were executed poorly. Basically, the idea was to upgrade the room with new furnishings and fixtures. But the exposed exterior screws, wall panel, and legacy commode showed a lack of care. Also, we had no lock on the first floor bathroom. It looked like there had been a lock at some time, but it was removed for some unknown reason. There was an ironing board and wall mount for the iron, but no iron. I assume the iron was lost with the lock in the land of misfit repairs. finally, the nice new bathroom faucet was mounted improperly and consequently wobbled like a deformed bobble head. Since the pile of rubble and garbage was outside the room, and piled behind a nice new wall, I could almost ignore it, if it wasn't for the 50 gallon drums protruding above the pile and 1/2 wall.

Old dirty roomPosted Oct 11, 2015
The room was extremely hot. There was no A/C and electrical wires hanging off the wall was exposed. To cool the room you had to open the windows and listen to the freeway all night. The bathroom was covered in mold and mildew. Staff didn't care and was indifferent. The free breakfast was store bought Danishes. Horrible experience.
