Perfectly located to the party venue we attendedPosted Oct 9, 2015
Pros: Amazingly quiet given the freeway location. An exceptional value given Marin County. We are natives of the Bay Area and understand usual prices.
Cons: Not a lot. Someone did an exceptional job of updating a near-historic property.
Location: Hopmonk Tavern on Rowland!
Exceeded my expectations given the freeway location and age of the property

Nice for the pricePosted Oct 6, 2015
Nice for the price. Very friendly staff. Quick check in and check out! Bed not so comfy, other than that great for the price.

A brief stayPosted Oct 3, 2015
Pros: Convenient and priced right for a brief stay. Bathroom was very nice
Cons: Towels could be a better quality
Had to be in Marin early in the morning so came late in the evening to avoid commute traffic. Had stayed here when it was under a different name several years ago. They have worked hard on upgrading the property. the new owner/manager was very pleasant and friendly. If the towels had been bigger and thicker I would have upgraded the score.

Decent grounds but nearly worn out.Posted Sep 10, 2015
Pros: Nice grounds, easy access to the highway.
Cons: Interior room maintenance and a more flexible staff.
Initial impression was ok. But then it went down hill. A booking error from the website had the wrong day reserved. The desk clerk couldn't seem to grasp that I was asking for an adjustment in the date and not my money back. He just reiterated that it was not refundable. I gave up trying, though I remained respectful. The room was shop-worn and the walls were very thin. Paint on the walls was chipped and you could easily hear a conversation in the adjacent room.

Pros: It was quiet
Cons: Get rid of room smell, new linens and better towels
A lot of money for the room. Linens very thin and towels were very thin and small.

OK for pricePosted Jul 26, 2015
Were looking for fairly inexpensive place within easy day drive to SF and that's what this is. Rooms have full kitchen but counters nicked up. Bathroom was kind of warn. Common areas were messy. Front desk clerk was friendly. Easy access to grocery store and 101. Seemed like a fairly safe area. I would stay here again if price was still right.

smell in roomPosted Jul 20, 2015
there was a weird smell in the room as soon as we walked in. it smelled like sewer water. there was no directory to find out if u can call the front desk. the lighting was weird, they only had spotlights, no lamps in the room.
