The best service I ever had at a hotel. I want to especially complement the Concierge, Sy, who was outstanding. She noticed I had an accident and had a cut over my eye. She went to the pharmacy and got bandages and assorted first aid items. She also sent up an ice bag. Another time I was unable to get reservations at a restaurant for my son's birthday. She called and made reservations for us at the perfect time and a great table, She is not only beautiful, but caring and efficient. Another employee is their IT man, Eddy. He was amazing and worked on my phone so that I had WiFi at the Hotel. Another excellent employee was Wallace at check in. Extremely helpful.

The brand"Mandarin Oriental" to me means luxury and high standard world wide quality. This believe no longer valid after I checked into the MO hotel in Singapore. It is 20 years OLD luxury hotel. My check-in lasted unusually long as the reception spent at least 15 mins to complete my check-in. However, it was being done incorrectly with a wrong name being put on the check-in document. It took another 15 to 20 minutes to correct my booking with a room. I was only offered a free drink as a compensation in which I believe most of the five star hotels could have done better than this. The elevator, lobby, guest room,decorations, etc all shows signs of a 20 years OLD luxury hotel.MO claims a true five star rating hotel in Singapore. I really doubt the standard MO based on to become a five star rating hotel. I could see the hotel had done some rennovations which was in poor quality. The room service simply added a hard board on top of the mattress to make it become a "firm" mattress. Come on! I slept on a board in a five star hotel! The bad was considered "hard" rather than "firm". MO Taipei provides brand name ammenties, on the other hand, MO Singapore provides no name ammenties. The cleanliness of the room was also not upto a five star hotel standard. Based on my overall experience, this hotel only worth for a three star rating. I have lost confident in this hotel brand. I will not stay in this hotel group again until a true commitment and upgrade being implemented.

Pros: Location
Cons: Dated rooms/furnishings. Couldn’t connect to TV with mobile device as in-wall cabling needed repair.
Stayed here before— but Some years ago. Then, staff made us feel important; now—just More dollars in the register. Visited in April—actually not super hot for Singapore—- yet room temp never dropped below 23c. Mains were unable to resolve, and they claimed inability to move me (it would have required an exorbitant upgrade cost, and I had already paid over $550/night. ;Good side— dinner At morton’s, and walking distance to most things.

Rooms w view are small. Breakfast buffet a fortune and no other option in hotel. Nearby malls have good local eating alternatives. Staff truly wonderful.
