Noisy Rooms, Inadequate Parking, Warning Plaque

Posted Aug 27, 2017
Pros: Walking distance to Fishermans Warf and Chinatown.
Cons: Improved room doors, noise insulation, remove the chemicals that cause cancer from the building, and add parking for all the rooms.
The hotel is not enclosed its built more like a motel so all the busy 4 lane traffic noise is heard through the lightweight room door. At night it sounds like an automobile racetrack. There are parking spaces for 1/3 of the rooms, this should be in the description of the hotel/motel. Breakfast is toast, cereal, or packaged danish and there is very, very limited seating for breakfast. Plaque on wall states The facility contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause birth defects, cancer, and or other reproductive harm.

Okay stay.

We booked this hotel for the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon. While it is a nice hotel, it was not worth the price, especially considering they don't have adequate parking for their hotel, offering first come, first serve to the few parking spots they have-forcing others to park on the street, which is limited as well. They are also not willing to budge on check in and check out times, Howard Johnson hotels usually seem a little more customer friendly, so this came as a great surprise to us. But if you need a place that's clean, this place is okay. Just don't ask for any exceptions.

Good for the money

This hotel is very close to all of the interesting attractions of the city. The room was a bit small, parking is limited, breakfast was slim pickings, and the noise of the street was a bit distracting at night. Overall, for the price, it was a nice stay.

Great location for tourist. Everything is just A short walk away. Took the hop in hop off tour. One of the stops is very near to the hotel which was a big plus.

Did not have essentials, crib. Too much furniture in the small room with my baby. Dangerous. Inconvenient stay.
