Hotel staff were very nice, the toilet didn’t work very well and the day nighter sofa needs to be replaced. The location was great, room was quiet, and the room and grounds were neat and tidy.

Great Place to Stay

Posted Dec 3, 2017
Pros: Room size, very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful landscaping, views of the marina and high end housing around the marina, pool area.
Cons: Add a Canadian TV channel like some of the other Puerto Vallarta hotels have because you have a lot of Canadian visitors.
Location: An abundance of great restaurants nearby, good transportation to anywhere.
We booked this hotel for our first and last nights in Puerto Vallarta to better fit with our flights and because we travelled beyond Puerto Vallarta. The internet photos looked good and the price was right. We were delighted with the rooms given and the hotel's facilities. It is a well maintained hotel with beautiful grounds, pool and restaurant. Hotel staff were excellent. If this hotel was located on the beach it would be charging twice the rate and it would still be a good deal. It is located right adjacent to the marina and the views are great. I believe that there are beach shuttles but access to anywhere is very easy with the public buses and taxis. Just walking around the marina malecon is very nice and relaxing. Many great restaurants and stores nearby. One nice thing about staying here is the hotel does not allow people to place towels on the pool chairs and come back hours later so there usually are spaces by the pool. Another good thing is that the checkout time is 12:00 which allows you a leisurely morning before you have to check out and then you can still use the facilities until you have to leave later in the day. We will be staying here again and highly recommend it if beach walking is not high on your list.

Old hotel, decent location

Posted Dec 3, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff, close to the beach.
Cons: They should have activities planned even when the number of people staying at the hotel is small.
Location: The location is close to the airport and the ocean. You have to take a little shuttle to get to the ocean
This is an old hotel that could use some renovations. Language barrier is a big issue. There were not many people here(most of them were Mexicans) so the activities that were planned did not take place. The pool is a decent size. The food was standard and was not served at the posted times, always late.

Little Resort With Lots of Heart

Posted Dec 2, 2017
Had great 8 Days in Puerto Vallarta. The Flamingo is the smallest resort me and the wife have stayed, but the staff is amazing. Jamie in security was so helpful. Adrian, Lily we’re our waiters who to great care of us. Fernando, Ricardo and Daniel will take care of all your needs at the bar. Sandra does a great job at the desk getting you in and out. The Flamingo is a good pick if you want great value. If you want entertainment like the big resorts this is not the one. It’s by the beautiful Marina not the Beach. They need mini - fridges in the room.

My room was on 4th floor. Elevator did not work for 4 days straight. The safetydeposit box fell from the wall. Had no handles The bathroom odor trap did not work well Sewage smell all the time. Staff was nice except general manager not an enjoyable stay. I did not eat or drink in the hotel. Quality seemed sub par

Hotel at the Marina

Posted Nov 26, 2017
Pros: The rooms were very spacious with a good balcony overlooking gardens and pool. The AC worked well.
Cons: The rooms don’t have fridges, coffee maker or ice. They don’t allow you to bring food or drinks from outside the property. They should review this.
Location: It’s right on the Marina’s boardwalk where you find restaurants, souvenir shops. Close to the bus route and the airport.
I wanted to experience staying at the Marina and the Flamingo hotel was the only one I found in the area. The overall experience wasn’t bad but not the best either. The staff is doing their best to help. Sonia and Saul were fantastic.
