I wish I had stayed longer! It is a lovely place with lots of things to do. My room was very nice. I enjoyed it he fun and relaxation.

We had a wonderful time!

Pros: I have to say that it was a toss up between the staff and the food!
Cons: I think the pool needs to be re-tiled, but it was clean and there were ample seats for everyone.
Location: Great location! We walked on several occasions to the Marina and took cabs to excursions.
We've stayed at other Melia hotels internationally and the service for this one was no different. We read many negative reviews and were a little leary, but decided to try it out anyway. We're so glad we did! What you get for the value is excellent. The food and restaurants were wonderful. The Italian restaurant was our favorite. Upon arrival, we were immediately taken to the Kids & Co. desk where we were checked in. We had arrived two hours prior to check in time, but they gave us keys to our room and told us they would drop off our luggage. We immediately went to the room, which was great! Then, went to explore and eat. The service was top notch! We did tip our housekeeping staff and servers regularly, although I don't think it would have made a difference as to what kind of service was provided.

Pleasant Hotel with Great Food and Activities

Pros: All the restaurants served great food. The activities staff and variety of activities were great. The air conditioner in my room kept it comfortable.
Cons: The television in my room had close to forty (40) channels but only three (3) were English speaking. This is a family hotel so hope you like kids.
Location: The hotel is on the beach near the Marina and walking distance to a small convenience store. Cab rides to / from excursion activities were reasonable.
The hotel helps to restore sea turtle populations and has a dedicated area between the pool and the beach where they incubate eggs. While I was there, a batch of eggs hatched and I was able to help release sea turtles into the ocean. The air conditioner in my room worked great and was able to maintain a comfortable temperature during the entire stay. I especially enjoyed the beach volleyball, air rifle, archery, ping pong, and water polo activities. The food was excellent every day, even the buffet, and they had a great variety of food with fresh fruit too. The buffet had an omelette station for breakfast and pasta bar for lunch / dinner.....fantastic food.

So so so bad

I wish I knew about this hotel I never choose this hotel for our trip, I had bad experience in this trip. I Put the trash my $3500, This resort is lower level all inclusive.

Dirty, smelled, air condition did not work in our room, shower did not work in our room, refused to refund us for the full 5 day stay I paid for. Expedia should not promote this hotel is a 4 star

It was an okay stay

We stayed for 7 days here and it was just ok. Room service isn't included in the package price. The rooms were old and outdated and had a bad odor maybe from the AC unit. I thought it was strange that barely any of the staff spoke English so it was hard to communicate. The food was ehh ok. Nothing great to brag about but I guess edible. I guess the hotel gets a lot of locals there. When you check out you don't get to use any of the amenities if you have a late flight. They take your wrist band from you so you can't eat or do much. Kinda suck for the price you pay. Next time I will stay somewhere else.

Nice hotel, great service just a bit old

Cooked service was great, the staff was great, lots of fun activities included in the package such as rock climbing, archery and evening shows. My only complaint would be the age of the pool It needs major refurbishing otherwise everything was great

Great experience for our first time in Puerto Vallarta and the hotel. Great staff, really friendly. Hotel is very pretty.

So much fun! Great family place!

Pros: Everything but how dirty the pool was and the size of the beds. Everything was besides that was very, very good.
Cons: The pool cleanliness and size of the beds.
Location: Location is awesome! Very centralized. The resort is super close to the airport but we never heard the planes fly over head.
My husband and I were very happy with the Melia. 98 percent of this hotel was awesome - food, kids club, staff, location, views, nightime shows, etc. The other two percent that was not awesome was how small the beds were (I am 5'3" and my feet were hanging over the edge) and how dirty the pool was (there was some high school graduation party thing going on and the smokers were ashing their cigarettes into it. There were a lot of plastic cups and straws in the pool and the high school kids would just dump their unfinished alcohol on the pavement for everyone else to walk on).
