Beware in winter months - no heat thermostat in the room. When we complained of being cold, we were only offered an extra blanket. It took a second complaint for them to offer a stand-alone heater. Also, the bed cover/duvet is tiny - it does not cover the full size of the bed… very strange..

Perfectly located 5 minute walk to train to / from Amsterdam! Include the breakfast in your hotel stay - well worth it compared to most hotels offering same in USA. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff all spoke English. Helped us to print our train tickets.

It’s a basic hotel in a small town in NL. I was bitten by an insect during the night. Next day hand got swollen and took several days of antibiotics and allergy medications to get it under control. Rather expensive and unpleasant experience.

I had booked a double room and provided with a twin, not ideal for romantic weekend away. I enguired about getting the room i booked but was told that although they try match customer reguest this is what they had avalible. This was confusing as i had booked many week in advance. There was a hazelnut on the floor and some long hairs on the bed. The bathroom was spotless, the staff were very polite and the location was absolutly ideal

A nice stay in Enschede
What a surprise to get all this comfort in the heart of Enschede. Normally I stay with friends or family when I visit my home time overseas but decided that this time to do a change. We traveled by train to Enschede and what is better than being close to the train station downtown. Walking distance from the Oude Markt or other spots to hang around. The hotel service was great and their friendly professional staff plus they have even a bar and a restaurant. We used the restaurant for breakfast and must say this is more than the basic stuff that you get at most hotels. So my next stay back in my home time will be here again.

Love the InterCity Hotel in Enschede! Staff is great, rooms are spacious, clean and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows. Breakfast is perfect and the location can’t be beat. We’ve stayed here twice in the past year and will be back…

Reception staff was very friendly View is very nice Toilet was not cleaned, towels only changed once in 4 nights, floor dirty, fire alarm went off on our first night, everyone left the building at 6 am and we were allowed back in 20 minutes later. No explanation given. Halfway smelled like sewage.

Dear Janice Thank you for your stay and the time you took to review us. I am very sorry for the fire alarm at 6 am. One of the other guests broke the law and smoked in his room. This automatically trigged the alarm. The guest was directly banned from the hotel. But this does not bring back your sleep, I apologize. Concerning housekeeping I will address this immediately. If you hang the towels in the bathroom this means you want to re-use them, if they are on the floor you will get new towels. Very nice hotel located right in the heart of the city, within meters of all the bars, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are spacious, so are the bathrooms (not common in Europe), modernly furnished with everything you need. I definitely recommend this place. We only had 2 issues. First one was with parking. We drove to Enschede from Amsterdam and we needed the car to be driving around Enschede and other towns around the area. However, even though Expedia says "Parking on site" and yes there is a parking garage from the hotel, nobody mentioned 1) That you had to make a reservation to be able to park in the hotel so there wasn't a spot for us 2) That Parkin does not allow you to be going in and out it is only literally to park your car during your stay and drive when you check out for $12.50 euros a day. So, we didn't have a parking spot at the hotel and since we needed our car to be going places we had to park in the Train station parking garage 200 meters or so from the hotel which is not bad (unless its raining or if you are carrying heavy bags) and it costs $15 euros a day or $2.XX per hour. Besides this the only other thing I would advice is get the breakfast option! But ask for breakfast from check in. We didn't do it only to learn that if you decide later on your stay that you want breakfast you can't because you also had to "reserve" your spot. The buffet is actually very good, so take it! There are not many places for breakfast in town anyway.

A night in the city of Enschede
Modern hotel, room and bathroom appropriate but not large. Big windows which allowed a good view on the west side of the city. Hotelparking for a first time arrival not easy to find. Coold hear the foot steps of the upper neighbours. Breakfast and the price of it excellent. Late service at the bar with tap beer was very good. Parking easy to reach with elevator and so was the city center.
