Marquette

Posted Jul 19, 2016
Location: I didn't really have opportunity to look around the area, but the hotel did not seem to encourage that either.
Overall it was very nice and very clean. I slept well; the food in the restaurant was good. The bartender paid more attention to the handsome young guy than the rest of us though.

Thank you for your stay. The next time that you are in town try to explore the downtown area. That is just a quick walk from the Ramada doors. Sincerely, Tom Graves/Director of Sales Ramada of Marquette, MI

Pros: It is in a great location, close to everything. The staff were pleasant and effective.
Cons: It would be nice to have small, inexpensive soap dishes in the bathroom so you wouldn't have to put the soap directly on the counter
Location: Excellent location. Near-by restaurants and only a few blocks from downtown Marquette with all its quaint shops, restaurants and 1890's architecture.
In general, nice and quiet. But at 2:00 one night, a car radio began blaring in the parking lot behind my room. I called the front desk to inform the staff. She said she would have secutiry check into it, and the loud playing soon stopped. Incident taken care of quickly and appropriately. Otherwise, a very positive experience.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. It is our goal to ensure every guest has a great experience when staying with us. We may not have a small soap dish, but we have a amenities tray in all our guest rooms which is standard in most hotel brands. I apologize for the inconsiderate music playing in the early morning and I am glad our staff was able to take care of it quickly. We look forward to you next visit with us, please contact us directly with any other concerns our to reserve your next stay. Sincerely, Ed O'Brien

Very nice room, clean but did find ants in the bathroom (2) but we were poolside so that is to be expected. We would be glad to stay again when we are in Marquette.

We are glad you were able to enjoy your visit to the Ramada of Marquette and look forward to your next visit with us. We did have ECO Lab investigate your concerns, with negative results but treated it to be on the safe side, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Sincerely, Ed O'Brien General Manager

Avoid at all cost

Posted Oct 23, 2015
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Everything
Location: At the top of the hill, not much to do nearby
Staff at reception not really interested, building work in the building meant we could not access our room with ease, no help given in finding it. Room was on second floor around an internal swimming pool, it was like being inside the changing rooms of a public pool with the smell of chlorine and the constant echoing noise of people in the pool which went on until 11pm. Breakfast an ordeal, waited for a coffee for what seemed like an eternity, breakfast came minus the hash browns which had been omitted, mistake recognised, finally came once meal had finished. Do not go to this hotel, and by the way the furnishings need updating and your feet stick to the bedroom carpet.

Nice hotel with excellent staff!

Posted Jan 27, 2015
I was greeted excellent from the staff at the desk to the bartender. The room was small and comfortable. It had a great view of the pool. The only thing the staff couldn't help with was my slipping down their icy parking lot.

getting old

Posted Oct 25, 2014
Pros: the room size
Big bug crawling across the ceiling; loud, obnoxious guests down the hall. Because we paid by expedia, the only offer was a breakfast at a mediocre restaurant.
