Great hotel in the medina

Posted Apr 11, 2017
Pros: It is beautiful inside and it is very quiet amidst the noise and confusion of the nearby markets.
Cons: It would be nice if the hotel had beer available to enjoy by the pool in the evenings.
Location: It is in the medina and a very close walk to the markets and nearby landmarks.
Although it can be difficult to find in the narrow side streets of the medina, once you enter through the plain black door of the riad, you enter a peaceful beautiful courtyard with palm trees and a pool in the center. We were welcomed with tea while our room was prepared. There are only 6 rooms available that circle the courtyard. We had the family suite which was two tiers inside and it was very nice and clean. Breakfast is served by the pool in the mornings with fresh fruit and assorted pastries. The staff was very nice and attentive.

We stayed for 4 nights, our room was cleaned daily, the staff is amazing, they always polite and helpful. The riad is very near to the main square, it's very central location, easy to find. The breakfast and dinner is ok, it could improve. Other than that everything was very good, I would recommend it to my friends.

Very convenient riad close to all the key sights.

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Pros: A convenient riad close the main square, souks and sights, Friendly and courteous staff.Clean room & comfy bed.Pleasant continental breakfast.
Cons: More variety with the Pam breakfasts. Building & facilites disappointing. All tired and in need of a makeover. Pool was only a pond. No spa facilitie
Location: Very close to main square, souks and tourist sights. Lots to see and do. Cafe de France has impressive views of snow capped Atlas mountains.
Six day mini break to Marrakesh to enjoy some winter sun and see some interesting sights. A colourful experience with some decent food and good buys. Marrakesh itself is great value.

Riad

Posted Dec 15, 2016
This Riad is only moments away from the large square and is an oasis of calm after the hustle and bustle of the people and town. Very safe place to stay

Comfy quaint small size riad

Posted Dec 9, 2016
This was our first riad experience in Morocco. Flexible staff, clean room, quiet and beautiful rooftop. Close to the square and convenient to walk around. Slow wifi, weak water pressure, minimal amenities are down side, and breakfast was a bit expensive for what we got. But overall, it was satisfying for our first riad experience.

The most pathetic 1 night stay

Posted Nov 12, 2016
Pros: The patio is pretty, and the rooms are big but not cozy and freezing
Cons: Room freezing, no slippers, no bathrobe, have to wait 30 minute for hot water. I caught a horrible cold. I paid 200 USD the night because hotels were packed but on top of that despite my complaint in the morning, they still had me pay the breakfast which was also not very good and quite basic.

Peaceful oasis in the midst of the bustling medina

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: The courtyard filled with birds and flowers. No locks needed for rooms. The concierge prepared lovely trips for yes and have us great suggestions for things to do and places to see. All prices were competitive with others we found. Take the cooking class!
Cons: Air conditioning was barely adequate to cool room for sleeping, even in October. We were not even showed to purchase drinking water outside and bring it I'm too room, everything needed to be bought inside
Location: The riad is in the medina. Tons of things to do and see within walking distance. Have fresh squeezed juice every morning at one of the nearby stalls.

Oasis in Marrakesh

Posted Oct 9, 2016
Riad in good location - don't be put off the first time you walk down what looks like a dodgy lane just around the corner from the main square - once you figure out where you are in relation to everything it's fine. Facilities were clean and the Riad very calming after being out and about. in Marrakech. We didn't eat in as it seemed a little expensive but the coffee was good and we had for breakfast at a café 2 minutes away..

It was a wonderful stay the only problem is that the first two nights i was there was a problem because there was cockroaches in the bathroom at night, so they then changed my room thankfully

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that we have regular treatments throughout the property, and also treated immediately when this issue was raised. Morocco is a poor country, however, and the medina has these problems, which are not possible to competely eliminate. We strive to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, but bugs can fly through windows.

Relaxing Riad in the heart of the Medina

Posted Sep 6, 2016
Pros: The rooms were very large and beautifully decorated and the staff were warm, kind and very helpful
Cons: The breakfast was very expensive for what you got and the not to start building works when the guests are present.
Location: Everything is in walking distance, so you can walk to the main square, off into the medina, visit the Majorelle Jardin, the Bahia Palace
Riad Al Assala provided a calm and relaxing space in the heart of the medina. Perfectly located in the city of Marrakech, only 5 minutes walk from the main square and central Mosque, great location if you like to be in the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms where very large and are very well represented from the online photographs, very good condition and very comfortable. The hotel staff were fantastic, warm, friendly and very kind, especially the night staff who ensured we were safe when coming to and from the Riad (via taxi's) at night.
