lovely Riad

Posted Dec 29, 2016
We had a very warm welcome from staff . It was very cozy and made us relaxed. Location was perfect , it was just 5 mins walk to Jemaa el-Fna. The only negative point was that we didn't have enough hot water from shower.

Nice small hotel with attentive staff

Posted Nov 28, 2016
There are many small hotels in Marrakech called Riads. The Riads are typically old private residences that have been converted into hotels. This Riad has about 6 rooms. There is staff on site 24 hours a day, and they are very helpful in trying to accommodate even the smallest request. Breakfast is served in the central courtyard, typically coffee, tea, pastries, fruit and yogurt. Staff was willing to make changes to the menu as requested. Dinner can also be ordered in advance and served in the courtyard or rooftop terrace. There are lounge chairs on the terrace for sun bathing. The location (down a narrow alley) was very quiet, but only a three minute walk from all the action in the main square and the shops. This is not an American chain-style hotel. It is a small intimate experience. I am certain there are some things the chain hotels do better, but this is an opportunity to stay in an authentic Moroccan home. There is free WiFi.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff is really helpful. Hamid and Youssef were incredibly kind to me and helped me get my delayed bags and navigate around the city. They made my stay great. I think this Riyad is well worth the price and a great place to explore Marrakech from.

Marrakech riad two minutes from the main square

Posted Apr 25, 2016
Pros: The central courtyard was so relaxing after a day walking through the crowds and noise that is Marrakech and the beer is cold.
Location: Centrally located to the main square, souks and restaurants.
Marrakech is a maze of alleyways and this nice riad is minutes from the souks and main square. It is quiet, clean, nice breakfast and the staff is excellent. I strongly recommend using their taxi from the airport as you need someone who knows where this riad is located. Finding it or any other riad on your own is not a good idea. We took a full day walking tour arranged by the riad and it was fantastic.

Oasis

Posted Jan 3, 2016
Pros: The staff is top notch! We interacted with Mohammed and Hamid the most but everyone down to the maids had smiles and were so friendly!
Cons: Nothing, its a perfect guest HOUSE. Just don't expect a hotel w/ Elevator, casino, etc.
Location: Book a transfer from the Riad. It's worth it whether you're new or not(taxis have gone up)consider it essential for 1st timers. You'll see why if not.
This place is a beautiful and quiet little oasis in an EXTREMELY bustling town. This is my 4th trip to Morocco and now my number 1 place to stay. The staff is out of their way friendly and our suite (Manoumia) was gorgeous and comfortable. It blends the best of old world architecture (my wife had a photo session just with the room; the doors, ceilings and walls alone are photo worthy!) with modern comforts like nice linens, A/C, wifi, etc. After a few days in the desert the Riad Granvilier was the perfect hideout to rejuvenate and explore the city.

Tranquil, idealic setting

Posted Aug 13, 2015
This is an easy review. Beautiful Riad, superb service (Badir in the day, Mohammed at night) and clean and tidy to a fault. Quite honestly I have rarely enjoyed a stay as much - nothing is too much trouble. My only tip - email in advance and ask Mohammed to organise a taxi! The place is in a maze! Great great place....

Beautiful Riad, good location, friendly staff.

Posted Jan 10, 2015
Pros: Nice luxurious decor, good location, very friendly.
Cons: Room heating in winter
Location: Close to the souks, main square and restaurants, Marrakesh museum and stop for tourist bus or horse drawn carriages.
We very much enjoyed our four night stay at the Riad Granvilier. We enjoyed the location which was quiet but very close to the main square and souks. The Riad and our suite were beautiful but a little chilly as we stayed over New Year and the Riad by design was built for the Marrakech summer. However we were able to make use of the rooftop terrace which was a sun trap even in winter. The staff were very helpful and informative. Breakfast was good as was the mint tea after the hectic streets. This isn't a large modern hotel on the outskirts of Marrakech but it is a fantastic Riad, close to the action and just what we were looking for.
