Convenient, beautiful and homey

Posted Dec 19, 2016 on Hotels
Great location (albeit a bit hard for us to find, but that goes with a lot in Marrakech Médina - excellent parking options very close by though...) and very friendly staff that catered their best to all our needs. Lovely decorations, rooms and atmosphere and absolutely wonderful breakfast that made us feel just like home.

An Excellent Riad Choice

Posted Sep 26, 2016 on Hotels
Charming Riad designed in a sympothetic and characterful way. Located close to the main square and Souks. Set back off the busy streets keeping a calm and pleasent ambience. Unlike many Riads taxis can drive close making the journey to and from the airport very handy. English and Swedish speaking hosts who made us very welcome and gave some great advice for visiting the city. Lovely breakfast on the roof terrace ,which has nice city top views and a great sunbathing launge for afternoon relaxation or to have a glass of cool white wine in an evening.

Penny pinching management

Posted May 27, 2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: You can have better lighting in the rooms. Breakfast should be of higher quality. Get new bedding. Fix the AC. Apply the policy you post online.
Location: See above
This riad has a sad, low energy feel to it. The room was dark and dingy with old, dirty looking sheets that were the wrong size for the bedding. The AC was not working and it can get pretty hot in Marrakech. The breakfast plates were chipped and dirty, with a sticky film day after day. The "orange juice" they serve is neon colored, mixed with orange drink powder. The streets surrounding the villa are lined with beggars and it is generally in an uninteresting part of the Medina. If you are traveling with children, beware of the fine print. According to their policy, if you are a couple staying with 2 kids, you are to rent two separate rooms. This is regardless of the age of the children. Also, they advertise a roll away bed for 30 MAD on Expedia. But upon arrival they told us that was a mistake and they meant EUR 30.

Beautiful Riad!

Posted Nov 3, 2014
We have just had a lovely holiday at Riad Saba - it is beautifully decorated, clean and walking distance to the central square in Marrakech. The owners are very helpful, and the staff are very warm and welcoming. Definitely suitable for children too. Having breakfast on the terrace was an absolute delight. Overall it was a five-star experience. Thank you!"

A secret hideaway

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: The decor, the management and the breakfast on the roof terrace.
Cons: Perhaps a sign to it at the end of the alley in which the entrance lies.
Location: Close to the centre of Marrakesh. Very good pizza stall nearby.
I would agree with the other comments about the quality of this place. But. It is very difficult to find. Ensure that you have very detailed instructions about how to get to it. We were lucky enough to find a taxi driver who was resourceful, determined and honest. Otherwise, we might have given up.

Riad Saba - Absolutely outstanding in every way.

Posted Nov 14, 2013 on Hotels
If you want to stay in Marrakech within 10 minutes walk of Jemaa-el Fna and souks plus other easily reachable attractions look no further than RIAD SABA. The welcome and hospitality we received from Jabrane, Maria, Martina, and staff throughout our stay was superb. Accomodation was 1st class as was the plentiful breakfast each morning. Following busy times shopping in the souks and sightseeing make time to relax in the late afternoon sun above on the roof terrace. Riad Saba really is an oasis in the the middle of Marrakech make no mistake. John & Lyn O.

Un riad sympa et bien placé

Posted Mar 16, 2017

Charming and centrally located

Posted Mar 15, 2017
Riad Saba is a beautiful and charming riad with a great central location in the Medina and the Jemaa El-Fna square and souk within a short walking distance. Rooms are all different and personally decorated and were kept very clean and tidy. The riad has a nice rooftop terrace where we had an excellent homemade lunch and spent a couple of afternoon hours relaxing. To us, the welcoming and personal treatment was perhaps what set Riad Saba apart the most. We stayed seven nights and were extremely well looked after by the whole team. We had a guided tour of the Media with swedish speaking manager Jamal who has extensive historical knowledge as well as insights into modern day Marrakech and a genuine interest in sharing this. Even for those not staying at the riad, we would recommend a guided tour with Jamal. The riad also organized a beautiful day in the Atlas mountain and helped with bookings and advise on everytning from restaurants to where to go for a run. We would happily come back to stay at Riad Saba and will recommend others to do the same.

Familjärt mitt i Medinan

Posted Jan 12, 2017 on Hotels
