Perfect Location
The pros: The property is steps away from Cassis Harbor and all the restaurants/shops. The apartment has been recently renovated. Everything is clean and new.
The cons: Apartment is in an alley and closest car access is a block away. Parking is not included and the garage is a 5-10 minute walk. 2 days before we arrived, we received instructions on how to retrieve the key and this note: "I warn you that the staircase is dilapidated." I thought this should have been disclosed prior to booking. It is a steep and narrow spiral staircase and the apartment is 2 flights up. It took us 20 minutes to open the door when we arrived. The door is old and while the key would turn, we couldn't get it to open. Finally, we figured out that you need to put your hand through the mail slot and firmly pull the door towards you. Bathrooms are small and there is only one toilet located right off the kitchen. So when you're doing your business expect everyone in the kitchen to hear. The second bedroom is a loft and is more like a crawl space. You can't stand up in it. The washer is also the dryer and the instructions are only in French. We couldn't get the dryer to work. We were given 2 small bath towels and 2 hand towels for a three night stay. When I contacted management to ask about additional towels, she said "You are two people and you get one set of towels each. I worked in a hotel, the towels are changed every day, it's not the same service, sorry."
