I loved staying at the Royal Cottage. The staff are warm and friendly, the rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast is good and the best part is it’s so close to the town and harbour. Really lovely. I wish I didn’t have to leave.

Once I found the property (GPS had it on the wrong side of the road) I was quite happy with the location. It does not have some of the amenities I am used to (in-room coffee) and shower that doesn't flood the bathroom, but being able to walk to the city center made up for it. The front desk staff were wonderful!

Lovely bed and huge terrace with the room, however very disappointed no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Receptionist lovely and welcoming.

Great location - a bit dated interior.
Straight forward option in charming Cassis. Hotel has a great location and comfortable beds. As in many French bathrooms, shower is connected to the tub.

Fabulous!
From the moment we arrived, we had a very warm welcome. All the staff were lovely, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was super clean, and was cleaned every day. The pool area was peaceful and relaxing, and the pool itself was glorious. Only a very short walk into Cassis. Thank you to everyone at the Royal Cottage for making our stay so enjoyable. Perfectly located hotel with a less than 10min walk to everything in town. Very clean nice rooms with friendly service at front desk. Lots of available free parking which is rare in France. Private pool area is also really nice

Great hotel!
Very friendly staff, room was basic but comfortable - its not often you find a hotel room with a really comfortable bed! The cleaners were amazing, everything was spotless and smelled beautiful. Just a couple of minutes walk from the harbour. We sat by the pool and the gardens are lovely. The only small gripe was that the mini-bar fridge wasnt cold and didnt cool anything (we had milk in it)

The hotel has a beautiful property offering a nice view of the city from the pool. We got a room with a "balcony" but basically were given a room on the first floor right next to the elevator that had a small terrace. Not great for privacy, the room was a bit cramped and had a bit of a smoky odor. It was totally fine for the one night that we were there but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.

A little disappointed with the hotel as the room had a sliding door with a huge crack in it and the walls were very thin with a lot of noise from the room above. However, the view was great and the staff were friendly. The free parking is a bonus, minutes away from the centre of Cassis

The hotel is close to the pretty town of Cassis, which we walked to each day for a wide choice of restaurants; the beach, harbour, supermarket, etc. The hotel pool is truly lovely, very clean and plenty of loungers and parasols. The pool toilet and changing room were clean but there was no soap or towels for hand washing. The free loan of pool towels was convenient as was the free on site parking. We had a room with a small patch of sea view which was lovely. The breakfast is comprised of fruit, yogurt, nice selection of bread and jams, croissants and pan au chocolat, boiled eggs, and cereal (just coco pops and corn flakes)- some nice muesli would have made this a very special breakfast. The staff were very helpful with my dairy allergy- buying in soya products specially for me, and allowed us a kettle in the room - we had to provide our own cups and tea bags. All in all a nice place to stay, quite expensive for a three star hotel, but perhaps normal for the area. Would definitely recommend it.

Comfortable but outdated hotel about an 8 minute walk from the marina (downhill from the hotel and uphill back to the hotel). Service from front desk was mixed depending on who was working. Room was okay - highlight was the balcony with great views of Cassis. Bathroom and shower were uncomfortable. Overall, worth staying for the price and location, but don’t expect a luxury experience.

We only stayed 2 nights in the hotel Royal cottage but it was fantastic. As we arrived at the hotel on our first day, we were surprised by the fact, that the receptionist could speak fluently German. The staff was hospitable at all times and the receptionist immediately filled us in on the varied activities you could do in Cassis and gave us some more information referring to the hotel. Our room was tidy, spacious and the main bathroom was decent sized. However, the best thing about our room was undoubtedly the enormous balcony with its stunning view and the huge outdoor pool. The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations and so did the village Cassis, which we fell in love with right away. In the immediate proximity to Cassis are dozens of fantastic spots to snorkel, the limestone cliff was wonderful and the harbor in the center of the village was just lovely. Those events combined with the splendid hotel definitely made it an unforgivable stay and if we had the chance, we would definitely book it again.

Nice hotel in walking distance to Cassis harbor with free parking which is scarce there. The room was clean but the bathroom was basic and needs a make over, it's old and you shower in an old bathtub.

Stylish hotel for a great price that is super well located close to the shops and beach. Finding parking in Cassis can be very difficult and the on site parking at this hotel is a huge advantage. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Beautiful property with wonderful staff. The pool is great and there are many areas to sit on the pool deck. The room was large, I booked a room for four. Our two boys had bunk beds in an adjoining room. The breakfast was an additional charge and was very extensive and well presented. There is parking on property and the location is an easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants.

Absolutely love Cassis! Decent hotel about 8 mins walk from the centre of Cassis. Nice views from the terrace, continental breakfast is fine, if a little basic. Rooms are average size but have balconies with table and chairs.

We got in late after a very long travel day to this lovely area so we went straight to the hotel to check in and go to sleep. The internet did not work that evening or in the morning before we checked out, but the staff was friendly and helpful and we loved the area. It was a good value for both the area anf what it offered. The rooms were not small and they were very comfortable. Would stay again.
